Chapter 7

After the avengers, Matt walked me upstairs to my room "sorry but I have to lock the door" matt said as I walked in. " what if I need a glass of water" I said " I never thought about that um, if you need anything you can knock on the right wall, that's my bedroom " matt said looking down at his bare feet. "Okay, thanks night" I said, I leaned in and hugged him he seemed surprised, but then let his arms wrap around my back. "Night he said as he pulled away and shut the door I heard the lock clicking, I laid down on the bed and put my head on the pillow staring at the door. I fell asleep for about an hour and then walked over to the wall and knocked several times. I listened for a second and then heard Matt's door opening and then my door opening matt stood in the doorway, in a pair of sweats blinking sleepily. I walked out the door and downstairs into the kitchen and grabbed a bottle of water. I walked back upstairs and saw matt was sitting with his back against the wall and his head slumped against his chest, his breath even. 'This is my chance' I thought running back downstairs I grabbed a flashlight off the counter, opening the door that leads out side. The air outside was cold, and the wind was blowing, which caused the trees to creek and sway and the leaves to blow past across the ground I shivered but ran into the woods. I ran dodging threw the trees "OLIVE" I heard a male voice yell I looked behind and saw flashlights behind me. This made me run even faster which made the flashlights start to fade, I smile for a minute then my foot hit a hole I fell to the ground hard. "Darn it" I said pulling myself off the ground and half running half limping I felt a pair of arms snake around my waist. I threw my elbow back hitting the person in the stomach causing them to release I ran ignoring the throbbing feeling in my ankle. "OLIVE" one of the boys yelled I felt tears grow in my eyes, my ankle was hurting and my heart was pounding, and it hurt to hear the betrayal in the boys' voices. I looked behind me and saw Cam was close to me I gave one last burst of energy and tried to run faster, when Cam jumped forward and landed on me both of us tumbled to the ground. I got up first trying to run again, but Cam grabbed my ankle and pulled I let out a scream of pain, since it was the ankle I had already twisted, I gasped as my head struck a rock sticking out the ground. " Olive, Olive?" Cam yelled crawling towards me I moaned and looked around everything was blurry and slowly turning black. "I'm... sorry," I said as everything went black.
