Years after years, he tried.

Years after years, he sought acknowledgement.

And years after years, he was ignored.

With a pen held in his right hand, he restlessly wrote down countless of ancient letters into the thick leather-bounded book he possessed.

He was going to succeed.

He was going to lead a peaceful life after this.

That engraved in his mind, he believed and thus gave his best...

—to exact revenge upon his dear brother.

"Lady Beatrix," an elder butler approached the blonde woman in an exquisite vermillion dress, bowing in front of her. "Reiji-sama is nowhere to be found." He reported.

The lady exhaled a sigh, "it has been three years, I've expected he won't be as easy to find as we first thought."

"It is truly regrettable to not have him attend such an important ceremony." The butler remarked, wearing upon his face an ashamed look for not being able to find a single person in three years time.

"It can't be helped. If a man such as Reiji decides to flee, he won't be amateurish enough to let himself be caught. It is only becoming of my son." She turned her back on the elder, gazing upon her kingdom from the balcony of the castle. Later in the evening, the empty garden below would be decorated with many of her subjects about to witness the new King's coming-of-age ceremony.

"That is true." The butler agreed. He had been with the man in search ever since he was born, watching him grow up with thick books as company. It saddened his heart that a royalty brimming with potential like him chose to be a traitor.

"You are dismissed." Lady Beatrix ordered, earning a firm 'yes' from the head butler. She gazed into the vast blue sky, exhaling yet again another sigh.

"Hurry it up, Shuu-sama! You cannot be late for your own coronation." The head maid exclaimed for who knew the how manieth time though the soon-to-be king pretended as if she wasn't even there.

"That isn't how you wear that suit!" She exclaimed yet again, "let me fix it."

Shuu erupted a low growl. After this, he was supposed to lead an entire kingdom. He didn't want to do that—he was not ready. Though sooner or later, he knew he should finally shoulder that responsibility of his. There was no escaping.

"All ready." The maid nodded to herself, "prepare your mind and spirit for what's to come, Shuu-sama." With her everlasting bright smile which had blinded him since birth, she left the chamber.

He looked out the window, glancing at the sky and the fluffy cloud. He knew a person who far suited this job, it would've been better to let him take this position instead.

Though that would never happen, it seemed.

After all, he was no longer here.

"Please don't push me! What are you, a kid?"

"Who's a kid!?"

"Calm down, you two~ do you always have to fight everytime we go somewhere?"

"Hmph." The red-haired male crossed his arms, advancing forward himself and left his two brothers behind.

"Oh, Ayato-sama," the elder butler greeted after he approached the said person. "It's good to see you, thank you for accepting our invitation."
