Chapter Six

After the dad went into his bedroom and closed his door, me and Tink flew down to his office to fix the leaks. I looked at he ceiling and found a hole in the corner of the room.

"Tink, over here." I said, flying up to the hole.

"Huh? Good looking (Y/N)!" Tink responded, following.

"I know."

We went up to the roof and found a stream of water. As we followed it, we passed by a shared of glass, and a gaint green boot?! What the heck was that doing up here?? Oh well, I'm not going to question the human tinkers. We came to a big part in the stream, we looked up and saw that that's where the leak started, and it was sending off a chain reaction with the stream.

Tink went up to the roof to inspect the leak further. He tapped his pointer finger on his chin, thinking.

"(Y/N), bring me that boot." Tink said to me. I flew over to the boot and brought it to me brother, a little difficult though since it was much bigger and heavier than I was, but I didn't have that much trouble.

Once to Tink, he grabbed it from me and hooked part of it on a near by nail that was convienently bent. We started to fly away.

"That's our work here done." Tink said, but we still heard dripping. We turned around to find the boot some how leaking itself?

"Or maybe not." I said, flying over to the bottom of the boot, there was a hole in it. I looked around for something to stop that leak. I spotted a long tube that was a worn-out red color. "Tink, get me that tube." I said, pointing to it.

"Got it." Tink flew over to it, and grabbed an end. He then flew back to me with it, and we put the end in the shoe. It was just the right size. Tink ten noticed another, more verosious leak. "(Y/N), over here." Tink said, showing me the new leak.

"Oh my." I said as I flew over to him. We looked around and I noticed a gray thing.

I flew over and grabbed it and then placed it on the floor. Tink went and grabbed the tube and I grabbed the glass shard. We then started to get to work.

We found some rope and tied the metal thing with a long hole underneath the leak. I looked for some more lost things as Tink cut up the tube into three pieces. Luckily, I quickly found a lost thing that was tube-like and had three holes in it.

I brought it over to Tink just as he finished cutting the tube. We put one end of the three peices of tubing in the lost thing, and then connected the other ends with the leaks. I looked around, looking for a place to put the last tube, and I found a window. I grabbed the end of the final tube, and placed it outside the window.

Tink and I took a look at our work, and smiled with pride.

"That should be it." I said.

"Yup, now let's get back to Lizzy." Tink said.

We flew out the way we came in. We quickly checked where the leaks previously were. They were still damp, but they weren't leaking.

We flew down and looked out the window. I heard something fluttering, but muffled. Like something or someone was... trapped? I turned around and gasped at what I saw.

"What is it?" Tink asked, turning around. It was the butterfly from before, the one with the messed up wing paint. It was trapped inside a clear glass container. We flew over to him. "Poor guy." Tink said, a sad tone in his voice.

"What are we gonna do? We can't just leave him here!" I said.

"You open the window while I open the jar." He said, moving to the top of the jar.
