Josh's POV:
It was about a month before our high school graduation date. I caught a mysterious illness that time. The kind of illness that makes you vomit a massive amount of blood throughout the day. The kind that leaves doctors confused and thus passing you from specialist to specialist. The kind that makes you bend over in pain with tears in your eyes.
My dad took two days off from work but then he had to get back. I was sick for almost two weeks, but I was never alone.
Every day, Kevin would come over to our house to take care of me. He usually comes at 8 carrying my prescriptions from the pharmacy.
He even rubbed my back when I was in pain and cooked lunch for me. It was the first time I knew he actually loves to cook. He's not a bad cook either.
When I first saw him stirring some ingredients in a pot on the stove, I asked, "Do you know how to cook?"
He scoffed and proudly said, "Do I know how to cook? I'm a pro. Just sit your ass there and let the chef serve you the most delicious meal you ever had."
"Chef, hah?" I chuckled, "No, seriously. I never knew you love to cook."
