4. The True Love's Kiss

Five Years ago in Storybrooke

"Why isn't she waking up? I kissed her. I'm her soul mate!" Robin said frantically while he paced around.

"Well, apparently you are her soul mate not a true love!" Henry said with a little anger.

"Isn't it the same thing?" Robin asked to no one in particular.

"No it isn't." Tinkerbell said as she entered Regina's bedroom, where everyone including The Charmings, Ruby, Granny, and even the dwarfs; and of course Henry and Emma surrounded cursed Regina sleeping on the bed.

"Soulmates has the most potential to be a soulmate, or so it says. However, soulmate and true loves aren't the same thing. A soul mate can be a very good friend to one another who understands each other so well. And by the way, you aren't Regina's soul mate any more. You both changed from when I used the fairly dust to guide Regina over three decades ago." Tink adds matter-of-factly, eyeing the blonde with knowing look.

"Well, all we have to do is find her current soulmate or her true love or both! How hard could it be?" Snow tried to sort out but failed miserably.

"Henry, have you tried?" David asked looking at his grandson.

"Yeah, but it didn't work. And before you say anything, I know that it doesn't mean I don't love her enough. It wasn't my turn this time." Henry said with sad smile.

"Maybe the Evil Queen knows something. I'm pretty sure she doesn't cast a curse without knowing how to undo it. Or why we couldn't." Snow said but whispered the last part.

"So, we catch the Evil Queen and torture her. We got it sis." Grumpy said leading the group of dwarfs and Robin following after them.

"No. We capture her and ASK her!" Snow said and the Charmings left followed by worried looking wolves, only leaving Tink, Henry, and awfully quiet Emma in the room.

"Emma, you know what to do." Tink said quietly after she heard the door close downstairs. However, she said nothing. She just walked closer to the sleeping brunette and caressed her cheek.

"What's going on?" Henry asked both of the blonde in the room.

"I'm pregnant. With your mothers child." Emma said quietly almost whispering. Never leaving her eyes from her love.

"How?... True Love's magic! Most powerful magic of all!" Henry said excitedly. "Wait. Did you tell mom?"

"No, I haven't, yet. But I'm pretty sure she knows about the true love thing. She is just trying to not to notice." Emma said walking away from the brunette.

"And according to the tattoo on her wrist. She is also her soulmate." Tink added.

"Well I knew that." Henry said innocently.

"You did? How?" Tink asked curiously.

"I'm the author. Remember? Well, I knew it even before that though. It hit me when Ma told me what her tattoo was, a lion flower." henry said as if it's the most obvious thing in the world. "What are we waiting for Ma? Kiss her and wake her up!"

"I can't. What if it worked but she doesn't want me." Emma said.

"All she wanted for her life was to find someone she can love and loves her back, Ma. There is no way she would deny the chance given." Henry encouraged his mother.

"I hope you are right." Emma finally walked closer to sleeping Regina and leaned to kiss softly on her lips. As soon as their lips touched, waves of white and rainbow light washed over the whole town. And everyone noticed that it was true love's magic happening.

"It's the truest love." Tink whispered, but Henry heard it and gave her questioning look. "the rainbow light. It only happens when the two are not just true loves but the truest loves. It so rare and powerful magic. And no one seen it in hundreds of years."

Regina gasped the air as soon as she woke up from the curse. "Robin?" She said right before she opened the eyes and only to find someone she secretly desired more than her supposed soulmate, but denied herself for years. "Emma..."

As soon as the blonde heard the wrong name she was ready to run. But it was not until after she heard her own name with too familiar disappointment and rejection in the brunette's eyes, that she actually run out of the room and then the house eyeing the other two in the room with the most saddest 'I told you so' look.

Okay, so I may have lied. I wrote more angst.

But I thought I have to have this before we go on with more of the present story, so you know what happened with our favorite ladies.

I promise there will be fluff in near future. Just one or two more chapters of past stories.
