Dean looked up at Castiel and smirked. "I do?" he asked, "Maybe because I'm good looking." Dean boasted. Cas laughed. "Maybe."

Dean stood up and paid the lady at the counter. The two threw away their empty cups and walked across the street to the Impala.

"Hey baby, did you miss me?" Dean said as he patted the hood and stepped inside.

Once they were driving down the road Cas broke the silence.

"I wasn't kidding though Dean I would like to hear your story." Castiel inquired.

Dean looked over at Cas and sighed.

"Alright, fine. Whatever floats your canoe." Dean said.

"I've got a brother named Sammy. We grew up in Kansas but we moved to Michigan about eleven years ago. But... uh... Sammy... he, uh, ran away from home I guess and I haven't seen him in about, maybe nine years." Dean paused "I met this girl and she uh... well she kicked the bucket."

Cas looked sadly at Dean who's eyes were content on the road but were obviously tearing up. "How... if you don't mind me asking." Cas asked.

"She was road kill. Got hit." he said.

Cas looked down at the bottom of the Impala. "I understand how you feel..."

Dean looked over at Cas and nodded. He turned back to the road. "Since then everything went downhill sort of... my mom passed away and then my dad left for across the friggin' planet, then that bitch of a landlord keep charging me extra because I'm not 'a legal citizen of Michigan' or some bullshit. And now I live alone and have six damn jobs to work, just to pay the fucking rent!" Dean was yelling at this point.

Cas extended his arm to pat Dean's shoulder.

"Calm down, Dean."

Dean tensed up and breathed in slowly.

"Thanks Cas..." he said quietly. And on they drove.

"Mind if I tell you about my brother? I just don't like the silence it makes me feel like road-kill."
