Dean Winchester lived a picket fence life. A happy family, a house, a job and even a dog. All he needed now was a girl.

And he found just the right one.

Beautiful, smart, a sense if humour. Everything Dean could ever ask for.

For seven years they were together. And happily.

But then an accident happened involving an oncoming car and Dean's girl. The car had a dent were the license plate went. And she had a dent were the lungs go. And unlike the car it wasn't up for repair.

After that life wasn't a cherry pie anymore for Dean. His mother died unexpectantly a month after. His dad went off to live in Ireland and even his dog died on him.

Dean was truly by himself.

Until last week.

Dean was working at one of his many jobs, "David's Groceries" a local place. A man in a a grey sweater with a look of distress on his face rushed in while Dean was conversing to his boss.

"Hey-hey- yeah hi, uh, look so my alarm thingy at home went off and I live like, what? Two days on foot? And I-I I have baby by herself in there-"

Dean raised his hands defensively. "Ok, ok, ok, hold up, pal." he said "So you live pretty damn far away, and your security system went off?"

Dean's boss, Gladys, bit her lip. "Did you just say you left your baby at home alone?" she said.

The man in the gray sweater bit his own lip. "N-No, not exactly. My brother is supposed to check up on her every morning. B-But he hasn't called o-or texted-"

"Hey hey, buddy. Calm it. Tell you what, if I drive you there, you have to pay for whatever we spend on the road. Deal?"

Gladys hit the back of Dean's head. "Winchester!"

"Deal." the man said as he offered his hand to Dean, "My name is Castiel Novak."

Dean shook Castiel's hand.

"I'm Dean Winchester.", Dean let go of Castiel's hand, "Well, Cas, you go saddle up while I get the car started."
