(WARNING: There are mentions of attempted suicide and self harm on this page, if you can't handle that please don't read outside of the parentheses. I don't want anyone to be upset by it. For those of you who can't read things like this, I have a summary of this page for you: Basically Roman finds Virgil, saves him from Vengeance. Virgil has a panic attack and Roman does his best to calm him down, before realizing that Virgil is stuck in the past. He then brings Virgil back to reality. There is some light flirting, and they go off to find and help the others. Hope this helps.) (Also the bolded dialogue symbolizes when Virgil's voice does the creepy thing.)

After what felt like hours of walking I finally found the first sign of life; crying. I ran towards the normally worrying noise, only to find Virgil, sobbing while pressing a blade against his wrist. It took only a second for me to figure out why, there was this horrible voice, saying horrible things.

"They all hate you, they only acted kind out of pity. It just takes a cut and you'll be free of this pain." It told him, as it was obvious Virgil was incredibly hesitant on killing himself, but he kept the blade at his wrist as the voice went on, "None of them love you; not Roman, not Logan, not Thomas, not even Patton. Just finish the job so you won't be a burden anymore."

My breathing quickened, "YOU'RE WRONG FOUL BEAST! WE NEED HIM, WE CARE ABOUT HIM!" I yelled, wanting to lash out at whatever was speaking. Virgil's hand shook and he began to loosen his grip on the knife

"Am I? So, what he just did, what he just caused, You're not even angry? I find that hard to believe." It growled and shadows began to form the shape of a person before becoming an exact copy of Virgil, but of course with crimson eyes.

"That wasn't him. That was you! You corrupted him, ruined him with your darkness!" I snapped, my sword appearing in my hand again. Without thinking I slashed at him, but he just became shadow and my blade passed through him without causing any injury, "You've got to be kidding me." I mumbled, taking the time he needed to reform as a chance to grab Virgil bridal style and sprint for our lives.

I continued to sprint until I physically couldn't anymore, once I inevitably tripped and fell I made sure that I didn't fall on, and crush Virgil. Instead I kind of threw him, and he landed about a foot away from me. Once I pushed myself back up I saw that he had backed away and curled up with his knees against his chest while he continued to sob. I was just glad that he didn't have a sharp object in his hand anymore.

"Hey, Virgil.." I whispered, slowly approaching him, "Hey you nee-"

"GET AWAY!" He yelled, his voice doing that weird thing it did when he was having a bad attack, "JUST LEAVE ME ALONE TO DIE!"

I slowly got closer to him, which turned out to be a HORRIBLE idea. He immediately lashed out and hit me with multiple punches and kicks. While trying to avoid injury I managed to grab a hold of his arms and sit on his legs, keeping him from hitting me anymore. This probably wasn't the best thing to do, but we were in a very dire situation at the time, plus Patton knew more about handling his attacks than I did.

"GET OFF!" His yelling had turned into full on screaming at this point, like he was actually terrified that I was going to hurt him.

"Virgil, please, just listen to me!" I yelled, trying to figure something out. Finally something clicked in my mind. His appearance was... well, I guess outdated would be the best word for it. Instead of the edgy purple and black jacket over the distressed purple shirt, he was back in his black and grey plaid hoodie over a plain black tee-shirt, and his hair no longer had the delightful amethyst hue to it. He had looked this way the whole time, yet I had failed to notice until now, I had failed to connect the dots: he was stuck in the past.

I made a risky move and let go of his arms, now holding his face in my hands. "Virgil, listen to me." My voice was kept at a calm but firm level as not to agitate him more.

"LET GO!" He snapped, attempting to push me off, but he wasn't strong enough to do so. His voice had gotten a bit quieter, which meant progress.

"Virgil." I stared him in the eyes and softened my voice a bit more, "Please, look at me."

"WHY?!" He demanded, I didn't respond, I just maintained eye contact and hoped he would understand that this was serious. Thankfully he did, "I- I am, but- I don't- I don't understand." He spoke through grit teeth, becoming less violent.

"No." I told him, "Actually look at me, what is different, what has changed?"

At first he looked positively baffled, but as his eyes fell on my hair, the new embellishments and emblems on my shoulders, I could tell something finally clicked in his mind. I watched as his newer, edgier appearance faded over his old one. With that also came a change in his expression, he looked much more annoyed (and happy?) than frightened now.

He sighed and pushed my hands away, "Ever heard of personal space, you "royal pain in my-"

"Hey!" I cut him off, "If you haven't noticed, I'm the one who saved your life, my "constantly distressed damsel."' I added in with a cheeky smile.

I swear I thought he blushed before shoving me off of him, but I'll probably never know. "Let's go find the others before my mistakes have a chance to get the upper hand." He stood up, and held his hand out, offering to help me up. I gladly took the offer. Now began our quest to save everyone else without dying in the process.
