I can't think of anything. But I do know that he must of expected Connor to be there when the letter was open. Urrgg!!!!!
It was still early so I decided to get some work done to keep me distracted from all the craziness. Not to long after starting paperwork, I get a message from my girl.
Wifey🙌( yes, she named herself in my contacts) :
Hey, babe don't forget to come home early.
That's right. I have date with my wife for dinner at six. But I planned to be at home at five.
Me:
I remember. Thanks OG baby girl.
😋
Wifey🙌:
Also, don't forget to take that blue pill of yours.
I was taken back between the fact that I forgot I had those suckers and what the letter said. If my thinking is correct, then it means that son of a sundae was in my house.
Me:
Have I told you how much I love you?
Wifey🙌:
Whatcha want me to do?
Wow. She knows me well.
Me: Can you please check the prescription bottle and the pills? If there's something out the ordinary please call me.
Wifey🙌:
Okay???😅
After a few minutes, she calls me. "Baby, are you okay?"
"Yeah I'm fine. Listen I looked in the bottle and there was some kind of fabric."
" Polyester or cotton?"
"Cotton."
"What color?"
"Red and green. It looks like it was tie dyed."
"Hun, do me a favor and put in a plastic bag and time stamp it."
"Okay."
"Are you okay?"
"Yea. Why?" "Cause you didn't ask why."
"There are some things you just don't have to know. Come home now so you can see it for yourself."
"On my way baby girl."
I think when I drove home, I might of broke a dozen traffic laws. Oops. Come on, I had to make sure my family was safe. I think it took ten minutes, tops.
Thankfully nothing bad happened while I was driving home.
The first thing that Cordelia, my wife, asked was if I remembered to get a babysitter for the kids.
"Yea. The couple only ask for ten dollars an hour. But going to bigger news, were is the mystery cloth?"
"It's sitting on the table. Let's take a moment to remember the time where someone threatened our family."
"Oh, I remember!" The last time something similar happened to us, she found out who it was in a month. Then she tracked all of them down and showed no mercy. "That's why you are also suspended for three days from the police department."
"Worth it." She yells in a sing-song voice as she went to the kitchen to prepare food for the kids later on tonight.
I try to focus my attention to the piece of cloth. Then it hits me.
"Hey hun, do you remember the colors of the elementary school's field day shirts?"
"Yea. For kindergarten, orange. First grade, blue. Second grade, purple. Third grade, yellow. Fourth grade, black. And fifth grade, multicolored. All were tie dyed. I took pictures."
"What about the preschoolers?"
"Green. I still have my scrapbook with our kids pics."
She went to go fetch the book, but came back with more. "Babe, um.....
can we stay home instead?"
"Why?" She came to me with some horrific pictures of a woman that was tortured and killed. Also, there was a note on the back.
