The Reader's POV:

Following Alex's and Gabe's lead, we headed to where they said they last saw their friend. To be honest, I don't trust them. Especially since it's night time. For all I know, they could be the ones killing. And if I had to fight, it's two against one.

We stop at this bus stop that hasn't been used recently.
"Okay so this is where we parted. Me and Gabe sent her home after dinner."
"Does she live far from here?"
"No. She lives in an apartment on the other side of town, but we can get there in no time." I swear Gabe doesn't like me because if looks could kill, I would be 60 feet under. "Do you want to wait until morning?"
He looks at her for her opinion, and she just nods her head. Then, the most unexpected thing happens. He tasers me. D***!!!

The last thing I hear is," This better be worth it. "

Alex's POV:

We don't have a choice. He's our way out, but he's holding back.
He soon wakes up groaning. I give him some water.
"What is this about with you all?" He asks, clearly in pain. "We had to make it look like we kidnapped you. Sorry,  bro."
"Why did you use that method though?"
Gabe comes with some food. "Relax, we had to make it look like it was real."
"Let me explain. Your the next target. She obviously wants you dead. If we keep you hidden. It might buy us more time. The longer your alive the longer your a threat to her."

His expression was fearful. His skin was pale as white. Just when I thought he was going to faint, he finally said the most useful info yet.

"No. No. Are you kidding yourself. How do you think she found us. She has eyes and ears everywhere. We can't hide from her."

As if on cue, Gabe's phone rings. He tells us in these very words, and I quote to "shut the fanta up." Me and the man next to me said in union, "Ummm.... okay."
Gabe puts his phone on speaker.

"Hi, everyone. Did you enjoy your little break. Sad to say, I'm back to deliver news. Not everyone is as strong or alive as I wish to inform."

No. God no.

"But your friend is still breathing, I think. One second." *slap*  "Yep, still going. Got to go, bye." But before she hangs up, she adds," p.s. everyone. He's right I know everything. You can't  hide." She hangs up.

Gabe comes and wipes the tears I didn't know I had and kisses my forhead. "It's okay." He whispers in my ears while crouching down to hug me.
"What do we do now." Me and Gabe look at each other clueless.
*Cough*
We look at the guy next to me.
"We'll if you two lovebirds are done, I say instead of hiding we fight."
"I told you we're not together."Gabe said with a face bright as cherries. "That might be the case, but I'm shipping it. And the ship as already sailed."

I internally face plam myself at this man. "Well, how are we supposed to  fight her?"
Then, I got a phone call from a friend.
"What?"
"Chill, woman. I just called to let you know that I don't need ya'll to babysit our kids."
"Sorry. Kinda bad timing. Going through something right now."
"You know, my wife and I are part of the police department. Let us know if you need anything."

After he said that, the biggest smirk played on my face. I looked at the two men next to me, and they looked back at me in fear. I can't imagine why.
"Now that you mention it, are you free tonight?"
"What time ya coming?"
"Ten mintues tops." I ended the call.
"Guys get ready. We're going on a field trip."
