taehyung was indeed fond of rain, but he was most certainly not fond of thunderstorms.
of course, he knew he would get used to the sounds of thunder crackling the sky soon enough. but for now, thunderstorms were possibly the absolute bane of his existence. not only did they rupture taehyung's mind into near insanity, it caused the earth to tremble fearfully, which is not a package he would buy.
they were nearly the opposite of the rain he grew addicted to, with the tame and temperateness of streaming showers, while thunderstorms deafened his hearing so much. it really wasn't gracious to be suddenly awakened from a deep sleep by the cacophonous sound of blinding thunder. he put on an unpleasant frown, huddling up within his blankets even more as he listened to the rumbling outside his window.
suddenly, his phone emitted a sound, indicating that he had a notification. he furrowed his eyebrows in confusion; why would there be a notification on his phone at 3 a.m. for him, much less a notification at all? he groaned tiredly, swinging his arm lazily around his body and onto his nightstand. he dragged his hand slowly around the wood, trying to find his phone and grasping it between his fingertips when he finally felt it.
he brought it to his face, forgetting that the brightness on it was set to a pretty high level for some reason. he pressed the home button only to be greeted with blinding vision, his eyelids immediately shutting themselves and squinting harshly.
"fuck," he grumbled deeply, waiting until the sudden flash from his eyes vanished.
with his eyes still scrunched up, he quickly lowered the brightness on his phone and tried to make out what was showing up.
