on the train going to camp, i got to meet some great guys,we talk a about the girls we left home.
I meet a guy name max Andrews,we became quick friends and he said he has my back if i has his.
and he has a girlfriend name Elizabeth.
I give him a picture of Ellie to see, and he give me one of Elizabeth.
Elizabeth has dish water blond heir and green eyes.
At camp i learn that i am part of 194th infantry Regiment.
I got a uniform and a SMLE rifle, (look it up it is a gun) training including target shooting,running,when i run's he have to ware a 60lb bag.
training is long and hard and the food is bad,but at the end of the day it feels great to be in the barracks.
In my barracks,Max said to us,i will get 100 Germans,and i said what if you run?
The Max looks at me and said, what and be a coward no!
I thought to myself, what if i run?
I thought that i have to be stupid to say that,
but if you told my then that i well run i wouldn't believed you,but now i have to.
On June 27 my captain got his order's to start the long March to SOMME.
