After a year or so of being alone, Josh finally finds what he has been looking for. The cure to cancer. However it is too late for him. He has already lost everything.
He publishes what he has found. He is finally at peace with what God has done. He goes to many conferences and discusses what has been found. Other than that he refuses to talk to anyone. Just a few days before his birthday, on a cold snowy night, he jumps into a nearly frozen river to end his life. Officials never found his body.
