If I had known where all of this would lead I do not think I would have made any different choice. It is hard to know what is right and what is wrong. I'm torn two ways with no clear idea of direction. A thousand thoughts race through my head so fast I cannot even fathom trying to write them all down. Even after taking the day and meeting with Jeremiah I am only left with more torn thoughts and emotions. If only it could be simple as boy meets girl; No strings, hidden agendas, or unforeseen conflicts.

"Irresponsible, inappropriate, and despicable! To think he had the nerve." Anastasia sat with her hands clasped in her lap as her father raved about the events from the prior night. To her left stood Miles who recanted the whole ordeal from the patio as he had seen in. Her father paced the office at her right continuing to rave about how Sheamus was worse than scum on earth. Miles had seen Sheamus pin Anastasia and kiss her, he had even noted how Anastasia delayed in shoving Sheamus away. Jeremiah sat behind his desk with his elbows propped up on his desk and his fingertips resting together at a peak as he watched Miles. "Why didn't you intervene and stop this whole ordeal if you were present to observe what happened!" Her father continued to pace and Miles shifted where he stood. "Well, sir my instructions are to protect her from dangers that would put her life at risk. Her dalliances are not life-threatening." Her father stopped pacing long enough to glare at Miles. "Dalliances! Do you mean to imply that she has done this before!?" Her father jerked his eyes toward her. "Has it occurred before?!" Anastasia remained mute but shook her head. Her father threw his hands up in exasperation. "No one else was present or observed the incident, sir," Miles spoke not to her father but directly to Jeremiah. He sat at his desk and nodded his head. "I also ensured that she was not seen returning after him, we left through the garden." Her father pinched the bridge of his nose. "Miles, you may leave us if you have nothing else to say." It was the first time Jeremiah had spoken all morning. Miles dipped his head and exited the room, and Anastasia watched her father pace around. "Niko, stop pacing it will do nothing to change what happened." Anastasia stared down at her hands which were clasped together in her lap. Her father glared at Jeremiah before seating himself in a heavily padded chair. "Anastasia." Anastasia lifted her head to look at Jeremiah; his face was impassive and she was unsure if he cared about the incident or if her father was merely making it a big deal out of it. "How are you feeling?" Anastasia frowned unsure how to proceed with an answer. She couldn't deny that the kiss had been enjoyable, but that did not mean she was pleased with how, and what had happened nor who it was with. Something about Sheamus set her off and while it excited her it also scared her. He was publicly brazen and arrogant, but he was confident and he carried himself in a way that radiated raw power. "I'm incredibly confused." She reasoned that her words were not a lie but they barely explained everything she was feeling. Jeremiah nodded his head slowly. "Well, you must tread carefully from here on out. Sheamus is..." Jeremiah paused as if trying to find the correct words to use. "A scoundrel!" It was her father that filled in the end of the sentence. Jeremiah grimaced at her father's interruption. "I won't deny that accusation, he is a scoundrel, but he's dangerous. He has the potential to play the part of an allie where you're concerned, but I advise you never allow yourself to be alone with him again." Anastasia nodded her head taking in the advice. She wished that it were as easy as simply not allowing it to happen, but if her babysitters didn't try to help she would likely end up in a very similar situation again. A soft knock sounded at Jeremiah's office door and a young boy peered inside. "Sir, the Gran Seim has requested to meet with Ms. Fenwick." Jeremiah inclined his head toward the boy. "Very well. We will see her there please inform him." The boy dipped his head and scurried away. "So much for no one seeing." Niko's words came out as a grumble as everyone rose from where they were seated. "You cannot know that the Gran Seim wants to see me about the incident," Anastasia said the words but even she herself did not believe them. "Choose your words wisely Anastasia. Remember, Sheamus can be a powerful ally but he could easily be a powerful enemy. Her father reached the door first, he pulled it fully open allowing Anastasia then Jeremiah to exit. "Whatever you do, do not lie to him. He will know and that will hurt your reputation with him. He needs to know he can trust you." Jeremiah spoke quietly so that only Anastasia and her father could hear.
