With all of the details finally, in place, Sheamus and I will spend a grand total of three weeks visiting each of the districts. Parties with the noble lords and ladies would occur in separate districts every Thursday through Sunday. Tiffani has been frantic planning out which dresses would need to be worn for each party...
Sheamus stared at the plan that was set before him. This woman was insane planning out their entire trip. The schedule was set at a breakneck pace. She left little time for sleep let alone time for actually investigating the issues. The two of them had been going back and forth the entire week about how they would need to proceed with the investigation. He had basic reports from his men covering the information gathered for the investigation. Using those reports she had placed districts of interest at the begins of the week and end of the week. He had finally managed to convince her to spread the investigation out from just over two weeks to four whole weeks. The prospect of attending thirteen parties was not something he was fond of, but the prospect of getting under Jeremiah's skin as Anastasia's escort had its own rewards. "So as you can see, this schedule would give you four days of the week to handle in-depth investigations on these key districts." Anastasia's voice held a matter of fact tone. It was clear that she was not happy with the time frame she had been forced to compromise too. "If this plan is finally to your liking I need your confirmation." Anastasia sighed staring at the silent Sheamus. "You may not understand what goes into planning a party but the districts we are planning to visit will begin three days time." There was more silence from the man and Anastasia clenched and unclenched her fist. "Sheamus!" This elicited a grin from him. "I've reached out to the politicians' wives already to let them know to be planning but none have dates..." He waved his hand "I'm sorry I was lost in thought about how I could lengthen my alone time with you." Seeing Anastasia as he chuckled. "Your plan for four weeks is fine." She sighed and moved to rise. :I still feel that you are trying to rush these social gatherings." She looked back at him before leaving his office. "The first party will be four evenings from now. Make sure you're prepared. I needed your support to get this far but I am sure that I can find another escort." Sheamus stared at his office door after she left. She was a handful, and eager to prove herself. Planning an investigation in the time she had allotted would leave little time for a break. She was..., he frowned in thought before it came to him. She was a slave driver, her plan must have been to work him into the ground. He grinned "Where there is a will there is a way." He had four weeks time to set a foothold closer to her and set himself ahead of Jeremiah. This was one battle that he would win.
There was a knock at Sheamus' office door. "Come in." Sheamus looked up from the reports he had been sorting through to be greeted with the presence of his father. A frown set on his face, "Father? To what do I owe the visit?" The Gran Seim waved his guard away as he closed the door and walked farther into the office. "Your plan with Ms. Fenwick has reached my ears. Was it you who proposed you accompany her?" Sheamus shook his head and went back to reading his reports. "If you are here to see if I set a trap for the lady, you will be glad to know this was not my doing." The Gran Seim filled himself a glass of whiskey from Sheamus' bar and hummed to himself. "So it was her idea to seek your help, but was it her idea that you both stay at our family lodgings?" Sheamus paused with his reading of the report "Her family has three houses. One out past Fenwick, one here in the capital, and one out by the outskirts. I made the suggestion." He sighed looking up at his father. Who was frowning at him "And here you said you laid no traps." Sheamus sighed leaning back in his chair. "Be logical, while it's advantageous to my own desires to keep her in close proximity there is also the aspect of her own safety." His father settled in the chair opposite Sheamus' desk waiting to hear more from Sheamus. "Where do you think she would be safest during this time? Staying in the house of a politician who could be plotting her demise? Or in the same house as me? You can at least be assured no harm would come to her at my hands. My desires are far more appropriate to want her gone from the picture." The Gran Seim hummed "I dare say that both the ladies father and I would say your desires are far from appropriate when it comes to women. Especially with that woman in particular." Sheamus shrugged at his father's comment. "You have my word, I'll not do anything the lady will dislike." The Gran Seim cleared his throat. "Um I'll amend that statement, I'll not do anything the lady does not consent to." The Gran Seim sighed. "So this is the schedule she has laid out for the two of you?" Sheamus frowned but nodded his head. "It seems the lady has planned only a limited time for you two to socialize in private. Smart girl."
