Did we have Chemistry?

Chapter 3

Later on that evening dad apologised for not picking me up. He went out to dinner so he said I could order takeout which I was pleased to do. 

While chilling in bed I thought about the day's events. It all seem to have went in my favour, got picked for track, got a lift home, made some nice and nicer looking friends if you know what I mean. I am thankful for the day. I soon slept off. 

I woke up at 7am to my annoying alarm. I went on my phone for a bit you know, check on social media and what not. I then had to get up and get dressed. I decided on a short, floral dress and some gladiator sandals. I wore my hair in a high,loose pony tail. I'm not that big on appearance I mean it's just school. I don't wear makeup really because the weather will melt away the foundation. 

I went downstairs made some oatmeal and my dad and I were out the door. He asked about school and how Ms.Walker made me feel etc. I told him the truth and that I was fitting in pretty well. I told him not to bother with picking me up my friend lives pretty close by and can drop me.

The first couple of classes were interesting I had Legal Studies which was really interactive and fun. Mike, Nikki, Lydia and Zack were in that class. Then it was lunch time. After that I chose my food and paid for it. I didn't really know where I was headed I sort of went with the flow. 

I saw that Thomas looked up and we captured eyes. I tried to look away but it was as if there was a molecular atom that was binding us together as cliche as that sounds. As I made my way to the table I saw Nikki wave her hand gesturing for me to go over. I pointed toward the table I was now at and put on my best apologetic look. I saw Zack also look at me and he smiled. 

"Hey Lil, um this is Ty, David, Hanna and Vanessa" 

They all smiled genuinely and I smiled back. 

"You look great by the way" Thomas added

I'm guessing David and Hanna were together or something because the PDA was unreal. Can't a girl just eat tuna salad in peace? 

"Thanks, you too! Oh do you have soccer today?" I asked curiously

"No, not today have you got track?" He replied

"Apparently there both on the same days" Ty stated

"Well then that's great, I think I'm gunna head to the mall today gotta get something for my sister anyone wanna come" Thomas said looking at me hopefully.

"Yeah I don't mind, don't think I've got anything better to do!" I replied

"We can't we gotta work on our play" Hanna said.

"I'm in" Ty said 

"You should come Vanessa, it'll be fun" I said persuasively, I'd really  like if a girl came along.

"Yeah it should be fun! shall we meet at the parking lot after school?" she asked

"Sounds good to me" Ty said. Thomas and I nodded in agreement.

The end of school came really quickly and I was already making my way out to the parking lot. 

"Hey, you ready?" Vanessa nudged.

"Yeah I am, can I ride with you? I didn't bring a car" I added.

"Duh, c'mon" she gestured. I followed Vanessa to her car and got in the passenger side. I'm guessing she started to follow Thomas and Ty. 

"So, what do you think of Bridgeway?" she asked

"Uh, It's pretty big I guess" I replied truthfully
