Did we have Chemistry?

Chapter 5

After Sarah helped me pick out a really cute outfit for the party we decided to head to hers then Lydias for preparing the jello shots. Her house was pretty nice, it had a beautiful water foundation acting as a mini roundabout. 

Inside she's had those Titanic-like stairs.. A part of me was expecting to see Rose running down looking for Jack but to no avail.

Her mom came down the stairs in a long housecoat though. She was so beautiful, I don't know what secret anti-aging pill she was taking but it did her so much justice. 

"Hello darling, how was school?" she asked.

"It was fine, this is my friend Julie" she said pointing to me.

"Don't point, how rude!" she said astonished.

"It's nice to meet you. Your home is very beautiful by the way" I stated changing the subject.

"Thank you" she said proudly.

"Lydias having a slumber party tonight" Sarah said heading up the stairs.

I followed shortly. Wait, sleepover? why did she lie about going to a party? 

When her mom was out of sight I asked 

"Slumber party?" 

"Oh, yeah she hates the idea of parties, she much prefers sorority societies and what not"

I thought about it for a second, she did seem like the breakfast at Tiffany's type. 

We entered a room that was too big to be called a bedroom because frankly there was more than just a Californian King bed in the centre of it all. 

"Wow" I said gobsmacked.

"What's wrong?" she asked worried.

"Your room" I said in astonishment.

Was that a mini kitchen in the corner?

"Thanks, my mom actually designed it" she said.

"Anyway, I was thinking of wearing this skirt and top?" she said holding them up.

"That's nice" I answered honestly. I walked toward her closet and was scanning her clothes. I managed to drop a dress from it's hanger. I picked it up and looked at it, it was so pretty. 

"What about this dress, it'll hug all your curves" I said optimistically. 

"OMG, how did I miss that dress? Thank you for reminding me doll, I'll try it on." she said taking the hanger out of my hands.

When she came out with the dress on she looked amazing. Fashion Police ain't got nothin' on her. 

"Perfect!" I beamed. 

We got out of our dresses and Sarah decided to bring all her makeup to Lydias so we could put it on there. 

When we got to Lydias we made the jello shots about 60, they were pretty simple to make actually. We went to her room to get ready. 

 I applied light makeup and Nikki decided to help straighten my hair which took nearly an hour. Bear in mind how frizzy it was. When we were done she gave me a handheld mirror. 

"Whooooooa" I said suprised. My hair was straight, for the first time ever. Who knew flat-irons work with afros? 

"You like?" she asked.

"I love!" I said excited. 

"Right shall we go girls?" Sarah said as she put on her heels. Mine weren't that high because I'm pretty tall and don't want to stand out too much.
