I woke up to max jumping on my bed in his wolf form. I groaned and threw a pillow at him causing him to fall off the bed. He chuckled as I closed my eyes again trying to fall back to sleep."MAX!" I screamed as I felt freezing cold water being dumped over my head. He shrugged at me and smiled cheekily while I scowled at him. "Come on we have got to help you develop your powers, meet us in the woods in an hour".
After he left, I slowly slid out of bed and walked towards my window looking out and seeing Max and Jack play fighting in the back yard. I giggled before going to my closet to get out my sports wear. Putting my hair into a ponytail I walked to the bathroom to do my morning routine.
"I'm here" I announced to my family and the pack. "where's dad?" I asked noticing that he wasn't there. Everyone shrugged at me and I stood confused until I smelt his scent. If my senses were correct he was above me in the trees probably trying to scare me. I rolled my eyes "Hi, dad". I stepped forward as I heard him fall out of the tree from being startled. The whole pack laughed including my dad. "sometimes I forget that your a white wolf" he said standing up off the ground.
"Anyway let's get into training. First we are gonna practice the four elements fire, earth, water and air." I nodded taking everything in and getting ready. " you may struggle with powers every wolf does so we will start with air. It's the easiest to manipulate."
My mother walked forward holding a book. It had wrinkled, foxed pages yet it seemed well looked after. The spine was weak and frayed yet it was still holding itself together. As my mum opened the book it looked as if it would fall apart at any moment but yet she smiled and passed me the book gently as if it was irreplaceable. As I looked down at the worn out book in my hands I noticed that it was a manuscript and was carefully written. No mistakes in sight. The hand writing was neatly written as if it had took years to write.
The end pages of the books had a beautifully drawn white wolf surrounded by 4 other wolfs each representing an element. All the wolf's were connected with what seemed to be a force of electricity. The white wolf stood taller and looked to be the pack leader.
I looked at my mum with questioning eyes to which she said "this book is used to train new wolves and help them with their abilities. The picture on the end page shows the power of the white wolf and teaches young wolfs not to cross one". She leaned forward and turned the page. I looked down and noticed that she had turned it to a page labelled air. She looked at me "read it, learn it, master it."
