RECAP

"We'd better get inside before it starts raining on us" she said jogging up the stairs to Jamesville Jr. High. "Yea" I mumble as a response though she probably didn't hear me and followed her up the stairs. Sneaking one last glance at the sky as I walked through the door of the "School of Horror" where I would find a interesting surprise.

I never knew that I would be missed so much.

When I walked through the door and turned left into the cafeteria I saw most of my friends sitting at one of the really tall tables that have only 4 stools, but apparently they stole some stools from another table and used them.

When I walked through the threshold and actually got into the room I was spotted and attacked. Not literally, but everyone at our table jumped up and ran over to Kat and I and they almost killed me from all the hugs I got.

Noah stood in front of me as the last person to hugged me and smiled sadly lightly punching me in my arm as I did the same to him. It's kind of like our secret handshake. Noah had black hair, cut short in a emo-ish kind of style wearing a graphic t-shirt like always with jeans and Nike sneakers. A gray backpack hanging off his left shoulder as well with bright green eyes that always seem all knowing.

As we all stood there like a bunch of idiots the rest of the people in the cafeteria were being released into the holding areas until the bell for first period rings. We silently walked to the auditorium as that's where the 8th graders go not saying a word for nothing has to be said. It's kind of like telecommunication or whatever you call it where you don't have to say anything for the point to get across, and the point here was that we were all sad.

When I was about to walk into the auditorium Kat and Noah each grabbed an arm ceasing me from walking any further and Noah said "You guys go on ahead and don't bother waiting for us we need to talk about some things," everyone just nodded their heads in acknowledgment and walked on ahead talking in hushed tones trying to get rid of some of the awkward silence.

Katherine and Noah turned me around by my shoulders lightly pushing me on each of my shoulders and I just let them not really caring, but still resisting them. We headed towards the arena and into the health room, where no one goes because it smells like a zoo, and quietly plopped me down in a chair placing my backpack on the ground beside me. Katherine turned around and closed the door silently, and one weird thought crossed my mind for no reason. Which was great, and now this is the point when they kill me right?

Kat silently walked towards me dropping her own backpack on the floor and I slinked down further in my chair a little scared of what she might do. When she stopped in front of me I saw tears starting to leak out of her eyes. She was silently crying. I knew she could get emotional, but not usually like this. I quickly stood up and hugged her.

Noah came up beside us dropping his backpack on the ground and hugged her to, saying "Shhh, it's going to be okay." Katherine had always loved my grandma and always helped her out when she needed it. Her dieing was harder on her then it was on me. Katherine held onto us tighter saying "Promise me this, none of us will die. I don't want any more of my friends or family of my friends to die. Please promise me." She looked up at us with pleading eyes.

We couldn't really make that promise as to everything dies sometime, but Kat needed the comfort so I told her "How about this, instead of doing that how about we promise to die when we are way to old to be alive and are so wrinkly that our wrinkles have wrinkles." At that I got Kat and Noah to laugh. I smiled at being able to see people laughing again even if it is a little and filled with sadness and loss. I held out my pinky and Noah joined in. Kat was a little hesitant and then she too added her pinky into the promise.
