The song on the side is the one I listened to while writing this! It's Let it go/Let her go mashup by Sam Tsui. IT'S AMAZING!!

I sat in my tent, looking at pictures. Me and my dog, me and my cat, me and my hamsters. I missed them. Especially my dog. Bruno. He was everything to me. My best friend, someone I could tell all my secrets to and know that he would never tell. When I came home from work that horrible day, I saw my mother, eating him alive. He was howling and whimpering. I cannot tell you how traumatizing it was. I burst into tears, really loud ones. I could suddenly hear the zip of my tent being pulled down.

"Hey, shut the fu-" Daryl walked over and squatted down beside me. "You.. ok?" He asked, concerned.

"No... not really." I sighed. "Sorry I woke you."

I glanced at him. His hard mask was gone, his eyes were warm and worried.

"Well... night." His hard look had returned. He picked up his crossbow and left.

The next few weeks were... awkward. After Daryl came into my tent that night, he had become more bitchy towards me thatn usual... if that was even possible.

"Mae!" Carol was knocking on my tent.

"Coming." I grumbled, reaching out for a oversized teeshirt and throwing it on over my short shorts. I rubbed my eyes as I walked out.

"Eww, what is that smell?" I asked, disgusted.

"Breakfast." Spat Daryl. "And if you don't want it, then go without." It had obviously been from his hunt. I dished myself out a small portion.

"Watching your figure? I honestly don't think thats a problem anymore. Take some more." Said Carol, concerned.

"No, I just don't trust whatever this son of a gun has brought." I glared at Daryl and he glared right back.

"Mae, don't be ungrateful. Daryl's tracked this... thing for miles."

I rolled my eyes, even Carol doesn't know what it is. I ate anyway. It was pretty nice actually, and Carol smiled as I helped myself to a second helping.

"Theres a good girl."

I admit, I was a bit out of line with Daryl before. So I decided to apologize.

"Daryl?" I called to his tent.

"What now?" He snapped.

I breathed. Don't let it get to you, it's just his personality.  I reasurred myself.

"Can I come in?"

"Is that supposed to be a joke?"

"Er... no." I whispered.

"Fine."

I opened the zip.

"What?"

"I just wanted to apolagise for what I said... I actually found it really nice. Thank you. I was out of line, a complete bitch. Sorry."

He grunted, and I left.

Nice long chappie for you guys :)  I know I don't have any reads, but I still imagine you guys are there :)) x
