The group minus Monica sat in Monica and Rose's apartment waiting for the missing person. "Do you all promise?" Monica shouted from her room. "Yeah. We all promise." The group replied for the last time.

"Chandler do you promise?" Monica shouted out to Chandler who was outside their apartment, just on the balcony smoking. He crossed his heart.

A knock on the window caught Rose's attention as she saw it was about to rain and Chandler was gesturing for them to let him in. "You can come in but your filter-tripped little buddy stays outside." Joey laughed looking back at the now drenched Chandler.

"Hey Phoebs." Ross and Rose greeted in unison. The furious blonde stormed to the couch not uttering a single response to the siblings. "Dear Ms. Buffay, Thank you for calling attention to our error. We have credited your account $500. We're sorry for the inconvenience and hope you'll accept this football phone as our free gift. Do you believe this?!" Phoebe read out raged.

"Wow." Rose muttered blinking rapidly. "Now i have $1000 and a football phone." She complained. Rachel furrows her brows in confusion picking up the letter. "What bank is this?" She asked. "Right." Rose added looking over Rachel's shoulder so they both read the letter.

The buzzer buzzed making Monica jump out her seat. "Okay, It's him."
"Who is it?" She asked through the machine. "Alan." They replied. Joey called Chandler in as the five of them stood in a line beside Monica.

"Okay, Please be good, please." Monica pleaded looking at every one of them but resting her gaze on Rose. "Why are you looking at me for? My middle name is good." She smirked. "No, Its Geraldine." Monica deadpanned as Rose cringed. She didn't admire her middle name as much, sometimes she thought that her parents were high while giving birth to her.

"Just remember how much you like me." She added before there was a knock on the door. The middle Geller opened the door to reveal a tall man with a beard. "Hi Alan, This is everybody." Monica introduced.

"Hi." He greeted as the group mumbled back a response. "I've heard scho musch about all you guys." He joked making the whole group laugh.

After a few hours, it was time for Alan to go. After Monica had finished saying goodbye to her date, she turned around ready for her judgemental friends to start talking. "Okay.. okay let's let the Alan-Bashing begin." She walked around the near the couches were Rose was sat in the middle of Chandler and Joey, leaning her head on the Italian's shoulder.

"Who's gonna take the first shot? Hmm?" Monica asked again, the group remained silent, Rose picking at her fingernails. "Come on!" She urged. "I'll go." Ross answered.

"Let's start with the way he kept picking at... You know i'm sorry, I can't do this. We loved him." Ross continued. The group stood up shouting. "We all loved him."
"Wait a minute." Monica chuckled. "We're talking about someone that i'm going out with?" Monica asked confused. "Yes!" The group responded.

"And did you notice?" Rachel asked holding up her thumb and finger. The men all muttered an agreement. "You know what was great? How his smile was crooked." Joey spaced out. "Yeah, like the man in the shoe." Phoebe pointed out.

"What shoe?" Ross asked. "From the nursery rhyme: There was a crooked man, Who had a crooked smile, Who lived in a shoe, For a... while..." Phoebe started as the group looked at her weirdly.

Ross stood up clearing his throat. "So i think Alan will become the yardstick against which all future boyfriends will be measured." Ross walked around the apartment throwing his arms everywhere.

"I agree with Rossy he is the best person Monica has ever dated." Rose stood up with a playful serious face. "What future boyfriends? No i think this could be.." Rachel said grabbing Monica's hand and patting it.

"Really?" Monica smiled. "Hell yeah. If you weren't dating him I would tap that." Rose replied as the group laughed except Joey. "Hey! I thought we had something." Joey exclaimed gesturing to the two of them.

"You need to move on Joey, It's for the best." She patted his cheek with a smile. "I'd marry him for his David Hasselhoff impression. You know what i'm gonna be doing at parties right?" Chandler said before motioning a slow running man.

"You know what i like most about him? The way he makes me feel about myself." Ross mumbled drifting off. "Yeah." The group mumbled slowly crawling into their own world.

Monica looked at them before sighing. Later Monica sat at Central Perk alone as Rose, Rachel, Chandler, Joey and Ross walked in, gloomy. "How was the game?" Monica asked staring at their bitter facial expressions.

"Well..." Chandler started. "We won." They suddenly yelled startling Monica. "Fantastic i have two questions, why has Rose got a faint black eye and how it that possible?" Monica asked.

"Alan! Oh and Rose started running like a crazy woman and the ball ended up hitting her in the eye." Joey explained. Monica faked a pout pulling her sister's head down on her chest. "Alan was amazing, He was like that bugs bunny cartoon where bugs is playing all the positions but instead it was first base Alan, second base Alan, third base Alan." Ross told excitedly.

After the five finished telling Monica their exciting day, Rose announced that she was going to go home due to the pain her eye was giving her. As she left the cafe she heard her name call behind her.

The long raven haired woman spun round on her heel smiling as Joey jogged up to her. "Hey." He greeted catching his breath. "Hello Joe, whats up." Rose replied back continuing to walk with Joey by her side.

"I just felt bad about your eye so i thought i could help you take care of it." He replied shyly making Rose crack a smile. Joey didn't know why he sometimes felt flustered around his best friends, he would stutter or get butterflies in his stomach every time he was around her. All his sudden confidence would suddenly vanish.

"Thanks, Joe. How about we go and watch Telenovelas." Rose tried to wiggle her eyebrows but looked like she had something in her eye making Joey laugh. "Sure thing Geraldine." He smirked. Rose slapped his arm. He grabbed his arm and bit his lip in agony.
