" All the times
That I've cried
All this wasted
It's all inside
And I feel
All this pain
Stuffed it down
It's back again" - Staind, "Outside"
Sal awoke slowly, body completely aching and weakened. Her face and wrists hurt the worst. She was laying on her stomach with her head turned to the side. Luckily, for her, Andrew must have passed out soon after her. He lay beside her, on his back and breathing heavily. She stared at him, tears welling up in something new. Anger...hate...
I'm not going to be your fucking victim any longer. Pushing and forcing herself up, she brought herself to her feet. She walked to the bathroom, fists clenching in anger, as she viewed her battered and broken form. Her nose was probably broken and had already bruised nearly black with a scab forming on the bridge. Handprints adorned her neck like some disgusting purple necklace.
Sal shoved her fist into the glass and it shattered and fell to the floor in a deadly rain. Eyes darkening, she bent and gripped an angled triangular piece roughly in her fist. Marching out loudly, she bent over Andrew's form and pushed the sharp edge to his throat. Her blood dripping onto his neck and her forehead pressed against his own must have been what roused him from his sleep.
Jerking in surprise, Andrew stared up at her with astonished eyes. Sal stared back at him, blankly, and pressed the glass a bit harder against his pulse. "Don't fuck with me anymore. I'm warning you. The police won't be involved, but I will. You dare touch me or even go near Davey, I will kill you. I don't care if it's because you have to piss and use the urinal next to him. Now, I'm going to leave calmly, and you're going to fucking let me or I'll kill you today."
Something in her feeble body had snapped. Standing up, Sal tossed the glass away. The way he stared at her, Andrew wouldn't dare to move. Ignoring her protesting body, Sal slowly made her way from her prison and back to her home. She felt more freedom than she ever had in her life. Sinking slowly against one of Davey's posh sofas, she shook as she cried.

Feeling uneasy, Davey felt like he had not rested at all. Tonight was the final night of shows for the tour. Despite that unease, he felt eager to finally get back home to the woman at his house.
-----
The show had gone by fabulously that night. Davey sighed loudly, shifting the rolling suitcase that knocked into his knees every time the driver swerved in the heavy LA traffic.
-----
Sal stretched out comfortably on the sofa and felt even more comfortable in her make-up job. She was feeling more at home in Davey's home. After just finishing cooking supper, Davey had called to let her know he was almost home. Smiling brightly to herself, she stared at the door, just longing to see him walk through the door. She seemed to be very lucky that day. She didn't have to wait nearly as long as she thought would have.
Davey came through the door a few minutes later, tiredly dragging his suitcase and dress shoes clicking softly on the hardwood floor. Salaria jumped up, eager to greet the man. "Davey!" Before he could release the handle of his suitcase, Sal's arms had already found their way around his neck and her breath tickled his ear softly. Davey was still in a small amount of shock from hearing a much more relaxed nickname from the woman's lips and the tiredness that plagued his body.
Wrapping his arms gently around her small yet feminine waist, he sighed softly in content. It was oddly nice to have someone happy to greet him once he got home. "Hello, my dear. I hope you have fared well in my absence." Sal tensed softly as he laid his head gently on her shoulder. "I'm fine. Don't worry, sir. Are you hungry?" Feeling the warmth of his cheek leave her shoulder made her nearly whine in protest. Smiling exhaustedly, Davey nodded. "Sounds wonderful. What have you made me tonight?"
Sal felt her heart swelling with pride. "A nice vegan gumbo."
"Oh, Moz..." Davey moaned.
