When I first started writing, I had no idea that so many of you would read and be pulled into my world and a few of my own experiences. I apologize for the delays in writing. I have had a lot of trouble with migraines recently and was trying to take care of myself by going to the eye doctor, etc. MexicanShowJumper I would like to dedicate this story and chapter to you. Thank you for taking the time to message me and express your love for my creation. I hope you continue to enjoy! <3
The awkward air and tension between the two were most definitely noted within the next few days. Especially by Jade. He had recently picked up his flustered and awestruck singer. Davey wasn't as talkative and seemed trapped inside his infinite thoughts even more-so than he usually was. When Jade had picked Davey up, Sal was even quiet and only offered him a meek "Hello" as he entered the door before she rapidly busied herself with the cleaning. In an already nearly spotless house.
Davey had lost himself within the shapes that whizzed past the car window before Jade finally had enough and cleared his throat loudly. Davey finally registered the noise and turned his eyes toward the source. "What is going on between you and that girl?" Davey paused, his neck and ears burned.
"She confessed she had feelings for me. But..."
"But?"
"That fucking guy hit her again. I also...kissed her."
Jade's jaw nearly fell to the floor. He knew Davey had not initiated any such contact since Davey's fiance had cheated on him. "So, what do you plan to do about it? Is there some kind of sexual tension or something that I'm, so gladly by-the-way, not picking up on?" Davey coughed roughly into his fist. The abruptness of the question had caught him entirely off-guard.
"N-no...I mean, kind of." Davey had to admit it to himself. Honestly, he hadn't had any sexual contact in years. That had to be somewhat apart of it. "Well...it's not really any of my business. I don't care what you or her OR you AND her do. You're both obviously of consenting ag-AH!" Jade smacked his hands on the steering wheel as he cut himself off.
Davey couldn't help but to laugh at his poor, awkward, and fumbling best friend. "Jade, shut up. I get it." He doesn't want me or her hurt...With good reason. Sal did run to me...The day seemed to drag on unhurriedly the rest of the day with more thorny conversations.
Sal, on the other hand, seemed to feel like it was taking even longer than the guys' day. She did, however, manage to distract herself pretty well. She finally cut her hair to her shoulders and did a more natural looking makeup style. Sal definitely did not want to think of the situation with Davey. Every time she did, it caused her cheeks and body to heat up.
The house already seemed clean enough, so she had to find something else to do. She settled herself on the couch and curled up with a book until she got to a particularly naughty part. Then, Sal dropped it and left it on the table. Why did she feel so frustrated lately? She couldn't even look at Davey in his face or even talk to him without nearly choking.
She was cooking when Davey finally came through the door. He'd actually come home later than usual. His eyes landed on the book before he slowly made his way to the kitchen. Sal was standing, washing dishes, as she waited for the food to finish. He admired the change in length of her hair and the way her curves showed off in the floral cami dress she wore, without actually realizing it. He walked slowly to her before stopping right behind her.
I know! It probably sucks...but I hope you guys still enjoy it. I'm actually trying to gauge how awkward they feel and build up the tension. Please comment below and let me know what Davey should do! The next chapter may or may not have some adult content in it. ;)
