Hello there! This is a Troyler AU based off of the universe of Timer, an extremely subpar movie with a really cool premise. The idea behind the movie is that a matchmaking coorporation has developed the technology to provide people with timers, which count down to the day that they meet their soulmate (I have changed this slightly, making the timers count down to the moment, rather than the day). People's timers don't start counting down until their soul mate also has a timer, and people are only allowed to have the timer installed once they turn 14. If someone's soulmate dies or has their timer removed their timer will go blank.
The story will take place over the course of four or five years and I currently have 15 chapters planned out (it's likely a lot of those will get split into smaller chunks though). Because of this the chapters will be spread out over time, showing snapshots of their life together rather than being one long narrative. Also, I will be keeping some of the events in their real lives (meeting at Playlist, raising 500k, etc.) but I won't stick exactly to reality, as this is an AU and I also planned it all in advance.
I don't really understand the rating system on here, but very little of this story will deserve the rating R, despite the fact that I have no choice but to rate it that. There will be swearing, mentions of sex, and there might be some actual sex later on but it probably won't be terribly graphic. There will be no eating disorders, self harm, depression, or character death. I will also put warnings at the beginning of each chapter, and if there's anything you would like me to start adding warnings for (like food for example) please just let me know.
