I wanted to sleep.
for the past two days to be exact
I was sleepy, willing to sleep for the next three weeks or until something important happened
but then I saw you
you made me not so sleepy
actually you made me wide awake
maybe I'll be awake for the next month
but I didn't understand
there were colors of blue and green, maybe some pink could be sprinkled in there
only if I wanted to look half decent though
this feeling was hard to explain
it was like watching melted candle wax drop, then harden once it touched my skin
it hurt for a moment
but then it was the best feeling ever
like everything was blue green
but felt like purple pink
like how the sky got cloudy that one day and it started storming
it looked beautiful but it stung like a bee
but it kept stinging, like a wasp
enough to kill me
like dripping fresh poison into my blood
causing the blood to turn into jelly
so hateful
but oh so beautiful
that's what I felt when I saw you
I loved the sight of your face
how you tapped your foot when you have to sit in the same spot for a period of time and you needed to move, at least a bit
but I knew you were trouble from the start
I just couldn't help myself
I wanted you
like how a snake wants to bite anything that's a threat to it
then it flows that poison
right out of its fangs into your bloodstream
causes it all to be jelly
jelly that has gotten a bit of a different consistency
then I felt sleepy again
at the thought of you
I wanted to sleep
this time forever, though
so I never could make a mistake, again
trying to have you be mine is the biggest mistake
all the trouble and problems I would make
so I sleep again,
forever now
the first few seconds
they will feel like that candle wax
those bee and wasps stings
and look like those cloudy stormy days
or it will look like that poison that entered my blood
and until we meet again
this is goodbye
I won't be wide awake
ever.
