The next day, Ashley was sprawled out on her specially made bed, writing in her diary. "Today was so, interesting, I guess. Josie was so out of it! She just kept blanking out on us." she wrote. "Well, this morning I went shopping and bought the cutest shoes! They definitely match my new pink dress I got for the ceremony next week. I'm going to look the best there! I know I will. I just have to beat Josie, if that's possible. I mean, Josie is a blond, the prettiest blond at school." she kept writing. Suddenly a knock came on her door. "Ashley! Come out!" her mother screamed. Ashley rolled her eyes and kept writing. "You better come out right now!" she added. "Why?" Ashley yelled back. "Because I'm your mother and I said so!" her mother answered. "You said so? You want me to drop what I'm doing because you said so?" Ashley said. "You aren't doing anything important!" her mother screamed. "How do you know?" Ashley asked. "You never do anything with your life!" she yelled. Ashley just rolled her eyes, and kept writing. Her mom eventually gave up, and walked away. Then her phone buzzed off. "One knew text" the screen read. Ashley opened up the text message, and read it quietly to herslef. "Poor Ash, mommy thinks your worthless, daddy hates you, and they still don't know about your baby." Thinking it was just Josie or Brittany messing with her, she just ignored it.

An hour later, Ashley's father came to her door to tell her they were leaving. They were taking Ashley's younger sister, Kayla, to her therapy sessions. Ashley thought Kayla was insane. When Kayla was four she tried to drown their pet cat. This time, Ashley decided to go. Lately, Kayla had been acting strange. Ashley thought it was the medication, but she could be wrong. After all, Kayla was insane. "Are you coming this time sissy?" Kayla asked. Many times, Ashley felt bad for her little sister. She was only eight years old,and she barely got to see her family. Sometimes, Ashley thought that maybe her baby would end up like Kayla, in a mental institution. Ashley was scared, scared that her child would grow up without her real mother. At least Ashley knew that her daughter wouldn't know about her, and would think she lives with her birthparents. That did make Ashley feel better, because it would be harder for her parents to find out about her. The only thing Ashley didn't like about that, was the fact that she would never get to see her own child ever again.

About six hours later, Ashley and her family arrived at the institution in South Carolina. The lady at the front desk handed her motheer the paper work, and Kayla ran over to the fish tank. "They're so pretty aren't they Heather?" Kayla asked. One thing Ashley knew about Kayla, was that she had an imaginary friend named Heather, who kept Kayla from being lonely. They said it was normal, but it was all in her head. Your supposed to give up imaginary friends when your five, not eight or nine. "Your daughter will love it here!" the lady at the desk said. "Shall I show ya'll where Kayla will be staying for the next ten months?" the lady asked. "Sure." her mother answered. They all followed the lady into the back, down some hallway, until they finally reached her room. "Most girls have room mates, but you don't yet." the lady told Kayla. Kayla simply nodded her head. They all put Kayla's stuff down, and headed to the cafeteria.
