That night Josie, Ashley, and Brittany were at Brittany's house having a bomb fire. It was one of the many ways the girls bonded, or lie and tell secrets. A lot of times, the bomb fires ended with pranks on the neighbors. Such as breaking in and stealing a diamond necklace, and having Jessie give it back saying it was a mistake. Poor little Jessie didn't know what she was up to. "Ugh, there are so many bugs!" Ashley complained. "Well, yeah. It's eleven o'clock at night, there's going to be bugs." Josie replied. "Well, still. I hate bugs, they're gross." Ashley said. Josie and Brittany let out a giggle, and Ashley just stared at them. "So, the sleepover next week." Ashley said. "Yeah. It's going to be at my house. We can either have it in the tree house, or my basement." Josie said. "Tree house." Ashley and Brittany agreed. "Okay, and Brittany you're bringing the drinks, right?" Josie asked. "Yeah of course. I'll just take some from my parents." Brittany said. "Yeah, because that so worked out last time." Ashley said. "Whatever." Brittany replied, under her breath. "Well, I don't know about you two, but I'm getting hot." Josie said, jumping in the pool. Ashley and Brittany exchanged looks, and then walked to the pool. "We'll jump on three, one, two-" Ashley started before Brittany pushed her in. "So not funny!" Ashley said. "Yes it was!" Brittany replied, jumping in.
A half hour later, Josie's phone began to buzz of. She hopped out of the water, dried her hands off, and picked it up. "Hey mom." she said into the phone. Josie walked off of the pool deck, and went by the side of the house. "She probably has to leave." Ashley said. "I would hate to be Josie sometimes. Her parents give her such a hard time." Brittany said. "Her parents are still mad at her for quitting gymnastics." Ashley added. "I know! Like, really? She had to quit at some point." Brittany said. "Well, when your moms the coach, that stuff happens." Ashley said. Brittany agreed, as Josie walked back to the pool and stated, "I have to go. My bitch of a mother is making me." and she left.
Josie stepped onto her porch, and sat down on the swing. In the distance, she thought she heard someone. "Hello!" Josie called out. Nothing. "Hello?" she repeated. Her mother came to the door, and gave her an odd look. "There's no one out there." she said. "Whatever." Josie replied, rolling her eyes. She walked inside, and passed her father's office, and went staright to the kitchen. She opened the cabinet, grabbed a bagel, sat down, and began to eat it. "Didn't you just eat over at Brittany's?" her mother asked. "Yeah, like three hours ago." Josie answered. "Don't talk to me like that!" her mom screamed. Josie rolled her eyes, grabbed her bagle, and ran upstairs.
