I pulled into the parking lot of an old diner. The neon signs shined brightly as the sun started to set. It made every feature on Castiel's face stand out. His soft blue eyes met mine.
"Why are you staring?" He says bluntly. I snap out of my trance quickly by shaking my head. I didn't notice I had been staring at him for a whole minute. It was the warm glow coming off his face that made me fluster up.
"I'm sorry, umm let's go" I said quickly fixing my hair and opening the car door. Cas walked beside me to the door of the diner.
"Here" he opens the door for me and we enter the old diner. There was something about the checkered floor and the red booths that seemed almost... soothing. We were seated by a nice waiter with striking red hair. I ordered a salad because it's a light meal and it wouldn't be too messy.
"So your really an angel? I thought angels had... wings" I say quietly so no one will hear.
"My wings aren't visible.. unless you have glasses dipped in holy water" his eyes seem to look deep into my soul. As if he was reading everything I've done wrong in my life. I shift a little bit he's definitely cute and it messes me up. I finished up my salad and tipped the waiter.
"You wouldn't mind if.. maybe I could see your wings?" I quickly slip my coat over my shoulders. Cas looks up at me with soft eyes and stands up.
"Sure" he opens the diner door for me. I quickly run down the stairs and turn back to look at the angel. I'm sure I saw a faint smile spread across his face in the dark night. I ran over to the impala and opened the trunk. There has to be holy water around here some where... oh here we go! I grab a random pair of glasses from the car and I pour the holy water over them. I can hear the footsteps of Cas stop behind me so I turn around the glasses clutched in my hands. Cas walks up to me so he could place his two fingers on my forehead. In seconds we were surrounded by beautiful trees and a lake.
"I thought this would be a more appropriate place to see my wings" he steps back and I place the glasses on my face. For once I could see the large black feathered wings that sprouted from his back. Their size took me by surprise I never thought of how big they'd have to be.
"Wow..." I reached out to touch his wings but I stopped "wait can I.. um maybe touch them?" It seemed so weird to ask that question. He seemed a little taken back before extending his wing so I could reach out and touch it. His feathers were so soft I couldn't help but to keep stroking them. In seconds I found myself surrounded by soft feathers and the angel I had just met smiling watching me play with his wings.
