Falling For The Enemy

Chapter 8

Thirty minutes have passed and we order our dinner.. well more like it was ordered for me.

They talked about their pros and cons about work. But I on the other hand just sat and drifted off somewhere else until richy said something that caught my attention.

" so what about mums anniversary? Which flowers should we do this year?? "

" awe your parents anniversary?" I say happily, trying to beam in.

" stay out of it." His chizzled jaw moves.

Richy ignoring my brother speaks up. " no just our mum.... she pasted away when I was one and pierce was seven. " he said softly sipping his drink.

My face dropped at the sound of it. My eyes travel to pierce who is quiet and still with that cold look.

He then looks at me catching my eyes. At that moment I could have sworn I've seen a hint of sadness.

" yet it's not anything that concerns you, because your not family. " he says dryly.

Richy looks at him then to me with a sorry in his eyes. As he was no match for his brother.

I swallow the lump in my throat knowing that one scared me forever. I was strong ! I did care deeply for the mother and richy, caring was my thing.

I look forward to richy " I'm so sorry about your mum... I would have liked to meet her." Then averting my gaze to pierce as well, so he'd know I was talking to him as well. If it was one thing! I couldn't imagine losing my mother and in sure the pain was excruciating for them.
Richy only smiled at me. Pierce looked elsewhere, Knowing I was being Truly sincere.

It was only in that moment I noticed something odd from the table across from us. Two elderly women with polished white pearls around their neck. One started to panic as the other began to turn tomatoe red with her hand snaking around her throat.

SHE WAS CHOKING !!!

As all my know instincts I yell " she's choking !!!" I say getting up. Both brothers look to the side to see what I was seeing. Thanks to health class in high school I learned a few things..... and luckily the Heimlich maneuver.

I sprint behind her doing what I was taught in class. All eyes where on me even pierces. I did the count of 12 SQUEEZE !!!!

As I squished her like a teddy bear, the third time came around and this time the food that was stuck in her pipe shot out in the air. Everyone stared at the peace of shrimp that flew far, then made its landing in pierces expensive wine.

As I let go of the lady who was obviously exhausted, me with my heavy breathing. All the people in the restaurant stay quiet as the shrimp floats to the bottom. Then all at once the room fills with cheering people congratulating me and making sure that the little old lady is fine.

I shyly just smile and bow like an idiot.

Hahaha!!! Can't believe that happened

Woohhh! Smooth sailing.

I head back to table but before reaching am stopped by flashing cameras inside and outside of the restaurant. I am surprised by the sudden action till pierce grabs me by the arm to escort me out with richy behind us.

" nice save Harper !!!" Richy says jokingly, as he heads in a different direction.

Pierce forcefully puts me in the back of the limo before entering after.
