As Ryan opened the door, I looked around and tried not to squeal at the walls covered with books all over the place. The house, *cough* mansion *cough*, was a somewhat simple design with white walls and a black carpet floor. I liked the carpet, if I had it, I would have had fewer obligations to clean or vacuum. Let’s just say I’m lazy when I want to be and that would be most of the time. I had a brief glance into another room before Ryan dragged me up a flight of stairs and into a never ending hallway. I could not see the other side and it was almost horror movie like. We walked for a little while, passing doors left and right until we came up to a door that looked larger and more important than the others. Ryan knocked and all murmuring that had being going on inside instantly stopped. I could hear footsteps’ coming towards us as the door was yanked open by a guy who didn’t look happy to see us.
“We’re in a meeting, what do you want?” he snarled as he inched closer to Ryan’s face. I had to give Ryan credit because he didn’t move back, despite the fact that the guy’s breath might have killed the Grinch.
“I want to speak with the alpha.” He said before he glanced at me. “This little rouge here was trespassing and I thought the alpha might want to meet her.” He looked the guy squarely in the eyes and I could almost see electricity between the two. I was guessing they didn’t exactly like each other.
The guy scowled before turning around and calling someone to the door. I waited, as I moved my mouth side to side and twirled my thumbs. I pushed my glasses back up my face; I still had them after all these years since I first purchased them at a thrift store. I smiled at the fond memory, those were good times. I didn’t notice as the door opened even wider and someone came out until I heard a sharp intake of breath. I looked up at the really large guy that came out of the room and looked me up and down before muttering something under his breath. Well Mr. Alpha, you don’t look like all that either.
Then the guy repeated what he said a little bit louder and I realized he wasn’t the alpha. “The alpha isn’t here right now, but he’ll be here in an a few minutes. He went out patrolling with the others.” The guy’s gruff voice caught me off guard for a second since it was really loud. I could tell the guy left an impression on others. “He said to wait in his part of the main house.” And with that, the door was slammed shut and I was once again alone with creepy Ryan. He gripped my arm harder as he dragged me towards somewhere. I looked around as we walked but I didn’t get to see too much, seeing as the guy was practically running. Or maybe I was running… either way, it didn’t matter, I tried to see some little things about each corridor we passed so if I managed to get out of here at some point, I might actually find the front entrance without much hassle. I was suddenly pulled to a stop as I nearly walked into a door; I had been looking behind me and hadn’t noticed. I waited as Ryan knocked on the door and pushed me forward as it opened. I was hopping on one foot trying to regain my balance as my arms waved around me, but I ended up crashing into a chest, making me face flat on my bum. I stood up and rubbed my bum as I turned to glare at the guy. I stopped as I noticed him. I’m going to be clique here and say he was the most beautiful man I had ever seen. The guy had blue eyes that were almost white and he was really tall, about the same height as Ryan but just the tiniest bit taller. I swear these people were giants, but they were hot giants. He had black hair that was messy as though he was busy or he had a habit of ruffling it. I studied him for a few seconds before I looked up at his face and saw him looking at me with an astonished face. I self-consciously crossed my arms and turned my body away. He snapped out of him daze faze before grabbing me and pulling me inside. Ryan turned and left without another look or word. My mouth popped open as the door closed; the dude was going to leave me here with a dude that was probably going to rape me? Not cool man, not cool at all.
