Oh dear....

Oh dear...

Not good. Not good at all...

I stared at the dark brown paws that seemed to mock me from where they stood. I tried to turn and I could catch glimpses of a tail but could mostly only see a back full of dark brown fur. I walked a little forward but stumbled as I wasn't used to walking ON ALL FOURS!!!! I remember how all non-biped animals walked and imitated them and soon I was walking normally... well about as normal as you can get when you randomly become a canine. I walked towards a pond that I knew stood only a few meters from the path.

Ok, I think I might be dreaming but I'm not sure, I mean, I can see a wolf in the pond where my awkward childlike Asian looking face should be. I paused as I noticed something. I could see a lot better than before; I walked back to where I originally was and saw my glasses sitting on the floor. I also saw my clothes on the floor next to them and those suckers were non repairable, it would be less expensive to buy new ones. I located my backpack that wasn't harmed either or my jacket which lay on top and luckily I had my PE uniform with me so I could put on. Score!

I put my glasses into my mouth lightly, trying not to slobber all over them or scratch them as I put them in the side pocket of my bag with a little difficulty. I grabbed the leather strap of my bag with the edge of my snout and I could smell the leather even more but it was a surprise that I could smell it in the first place without it being really close to my nose. Hey? Maybe this isn't so bad. Wait. Can I turn back? I worried a little before I sat down on my hind legs and close my eyes. Think human... think human... two feet… cheese cake… new york style cheese cake… crud, now I want cheese cake… O.K. now back to human… awkward pimple faced buck tooth… that’s not me…. little kid asian face with bags under the eyes that are seemingly permanent… face with a dimple that was beneath the corner of my right eye… weird place for a dimple… and I only have one dimple…

I opened my eyes but I was still the same. Darn waffles!!! I squeezed my eyes tighter and concentrated even harder on turning back to a little girl. It didn't work... Then I try to stop thinking. I sat for a few minutes and just listened to the birds and the wind as it smacked the tree branches. I opened my eyes one more time and prayed it had worked. I looked down at myself and blushed at my indecency. Jeepers! I hope no one comes out here often. I opened my bag and found my extra pair of sports bra, undershorts and my PE uniform. I changed in record time before I pulled my jacket on and pulled my bag over my shoulder again. I felt something poke my leg and i looked down to see my glasses being crushed. Poor glasses. I looked around but nothing looked blurry and I tested my glasses as I put them on. Holy honey suckles! My vision sucks! I always laughed whenever someone told me that as they played with my glasses but they weren't kidding, it really is bad. I decided to put them in pocket and I walked home thinking about my new situation.

I hesitated in opening the door, but there was no need. My mother opened the door with the meanest look on her face. "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?????!!!!!" she shouted as tears of frustration filled her eyes. I felt a sinking feeling in my gut like my whole stomach had just dropped like on those rides called the sling shot at the fair. I stayed silent and let her yell at me, but flinched as she waved her arms around. I waited until she calmed enough and then I stood and hesitantly walked towards her.

"I’m sorry" I whispered "I got lost and ended up staying at a friend’s house because it got too late" i reached for my mother but she moved away from me and I felt hurt. I lowered my head guiltily for lying to her and for making her worry about me. I grabbed my bag and started heading for my room when I looked back and saw my mother staring at me with anger. I hurried to my room without looking back and sat on my bed. My room was plain as I didn't decorate it at all. I pulled out my book and sat reading for about an hour before I looked at the time on the clock above my bed and saw it was around 7 o' clock. I pulled out my iPhone from my backpack and switched it from airplane mode. It conserves a lot of battery that way. I opened my notes and pulled out the wireless keyboard from beneath my bed and wrote some notes.
