Chapter 6
Jordan Devine's POV
"So Mr. It's a secret, why is it such a big secret?" I asked him.
"It just is. If you would be paitient then it won't be a secret anylonger, now will it?"
"Ugh, fine. But I still don't understand why you can't jusdt tell me."
"Yeah yeah. Well we are almost there anyway." Soon the road ended, and Niall parked the car at the edge of the grass.
"Is this the special surprise that you were keeping from me this whole time?"
"Not quite. But we are almost there. I promise that you'll like it."
By now it was 19:45 (7:45pm) and the sun was going to be setting very soon. Niall held out his arm for me to take. As I wrapped my arm into his we started walking down a stone path. I started looking around. We were in the middle of no where. There were lots of trees surrounding the path, and above they created a sort of arch way that you walk under. The grass was bright green and cut. There were all different kinds of flowers sprouting randomly in the grass and by trees. You could see some of the sky inbetween openings in the branches hanging above your head.
"Wow. This is amazing Niall."
"Yeah. It is, isn't it."
After we walked for a few more minutes the sound of running water started coming into hearing. Niall stopped at an archway made of branches woven together, with lights woven in in out of the branches and a sort of curtain made out of what looked like vines. You couldn't see what was behind the archway because of trees and bushes that were purposly placed where they were so you couldn't see what was inside. The sound of rushing water grew louder than it was before.
"Okay, here is the surprise. Close your eyes."
"If I do, the surprise isn't going to be you kidnapping me and leaving me here to die where no one will ever find me, is it?"
"No. I promise that isn't the surprise. It's a good surprise. Anyway, just close your eyes. I promise that you are safe with me."
"Okay, I believe you." I closed my eyes and I felt his hand go to my back. He started leading me forward. I felt the vines start to part as we walked inbetween them. Soon the strange feeling of them across my face went away. Niall took his hand off of my back.
"Okay. Now open your eyes."
I slowly started to open my eyes. At first it didn't look real. It looked like it was out of a painting, or like I was just imagaining what it looked like. But after staring at it a few more seconds I realized that this was a very real place.
"Oh my God. NIall this is amazing. More than amazing. It's beautiful. How did you find this place?"
"I have a few tricks up my sleve. So I'm guessing by your reaction that you like it."
"Like it? Love it. This is perfect Niall."
I looked around again. The area was in the shape of a circle. Around the circle were trees except on one side which was a rock sort of thing that has a small water fall coming off of it from the river which I'm guessing was on top of the rock. There was a very small stream coming from the water fall leading the water to a pond. On the far side of the pond was a gazebo with little fairy lights hanging on it. The trees surrounding the circle almost made an archway at the top again, but left a circle at the top where you could look up and see the sky. The rock was small enough so that you could see the sun starting to set in the distance. There was a blanket waiting on the shore in front of the pond. Behind the blanket, hanging from a branch was a single swing. It was all like it was from a perfect sceen in a movie.
