Y/N POV

they keep on happening. time always seems to reset back to the day after i killed dad. i have lost track at reset #64539 and they keep coming. they don't even happen when i die anymore. they just happen at random times now. kind of makes me sad...that whatever i do...whatever i accomplish...without warning...it'll be reset...that everything i do...is irrelevant. i've memorized every book, i won all the tournaments, i've attended all the schools, i was part of every team, i saved the world, but it all didn't matter because it would just reset. it got to a point where i don't even care anymore, the only thing i care about is my family, but even if i tell them what is happening with the resets, they just end up booking a therapy session. i don't even make puns for the laughs now, they have just become a coping mechanism. weiss laughs each time, congratulating me on the new joke but in reality, i told her that joke over a thousand times. even if someone dies, i don't care because i know the moment it resets they come back. frisk isn't responsible for this either, one moment they are having a date with Chara and then it resets. they are also concerned and try to help me through my depression but honestly...does it matter? as i think about this, my eight year old twin sis enters the room.

Weiss: Come on brother! Can we play?

i mentally sigh. i don't wanna reject her offer but at the same time, i know i'll just end up being a joykill. so i snore to pretend that i am sleeping. she starts pushing me, then she starts...crying. my eyes immeadiatly fly open and i hug her tightly as she cries into my SF/C shirt.

Y/N: alright sis, what's wrong?

Weiss: Why don't you care anymore! Why don't you play with me anymore! Where's the brother I love?

those. words. hurt. i hug her tighter and stroke her hair.

Y/N: weiss cream, i do care. a lot actually, it's just lately i've been tired and need to think some stuff over. i'll play house with ya alright?

weiss sniffles as she nods her head 'yes' and we enter the room. same old, i make the puns, she tries to act like an adult. it has gotten so boring that half way through, i fall asleep whilst sitting. i wake up to winter yelling at me.

Winter: DID YOU HAVE TO FALL ASLEEP AGAIN?!?

Y/N: i'm sorry alright. i have just been tired lately.

Winter: ENOUGH WITH YOUR BULLSHIT EXCUSES! I DON'T CARE WHAT MY MOM SAYS BUT I AM KICKING YOU OUT OF THE FAMILY!

i take a shortcut to my room and pack my stuff. she takes me outside, telling my mom that we are going for a walk. she takes me to the train station and hands me the train ticket as the train arrives. i shrug and enter. the train rides and i go to patch. all of a sudden i hear the zipper on my suitcase opening. i open it and see weiss.

Y/N: weiss! what in monty's name are you doing in there!?

Weiss: I overheard Winter yelling. When you left after you packed I snuck inside.

she suddenly tears up as she hugs me.

Weiss: I don't wanna live without my brother!

i stroke her hair again as i hug back.

Y/N: it's okay sis. i know a family that'll take us in.

(TIMESKIP TO WHEN THEY ARRIVE IN PATCH!)

Third Person POV

Y/N and Weiss are near the Rose/Xiao Long family's house. Y/N knocks on the door and Summer Rose opens.

Summer: Oh hi kids! What are you doing here?

Weiss: Our sister kicked us out!

Y/N: we aren't allowed back into our home anymore. all this over me falling asleep.

Summer gasps and suddenly takes the Schnees inside.

Summer: It's okay. You can stay and live with us if you'd like that!

Weiss: Really? Thank you nice lady!

Summer: Don't worry, you can call me mom from now on. Do you also want your last name changed?

Y/N: actually, we wanna stick with our family name.

Y/N does this because he knows the moment he gains their last name, if he gets together with his love interest, Yang, and Weiss with her love interest, Ruby, they'll have to deal with the fact that it's incest. And incest is NEVER wincest!

Summer: That's fine! My husband is out on a mission right now so I'll call my children. Ruby! Yang!

Yang and Ruby come running over. Yang is 8 and Ruby is 5.

Yang: Who are they?

Summer: These are your adopted brother and sisterrrrrrrr what are your names?

Y/N almost says his name but then decided that it's better for him and his sister to make fake names. He tells his sister this via a quick scroll message and she agrees.

Y/N: name's sans.

Weiss: Frost.

Summer: Those are nice names you have! Come! Have dinner with us!

They go to the dinner table. Weiss knowing that this is the start of her new life as Frost and Y/N as Sans.
