Unexpected Meeting-2

7 years later...

Author's (POV)

Seven years have passed and now Joy was a successful doctor in a hospital named 'J Hospital'. She had studied in the America and after her studies she came back to Korean to persue her dream as a doctor. She had become more beautiful than she already was and she was a really kind heart person. She has got really great friends in the hospital like Irene, Seulgi, Yeri and Wendy who are also doctors. She was walking inside the hospital where she works in. "Hey Joy director is asking for you in his office." A voice says from her right side. She turned around to see her friend Irene. "What does he wants from me?" Joy asked with a whine. "He wants you to meet someone. He is so handsome." Yeri, her another friend said coming and standing beside Irene. "So this someone is a 'he'?" Joy asked. "Yeah Joy. He is so so handsome. If I were you I would start seducing him." Irene said jokingly. "Where is Wendy and Seulgi?" Joy asked. "Hm they are in the operation room now." Irene said. "Why are they in the operating room so early?" Joy asked.

"Ah the doctor who was supposed to do the surgery couldn't come today so instead of him, Wendy and Seulgi had to do it." Yeri answered. "Ah. Then I will be going to director's room now." Joy said. She walked towards the elevator and pressed on the number 4 since the director's office was in the 4th floor. When she reached the 4th floor the elevator door opened and she walked towards where the office room was. She stood front of the office's door and took a deep breath before knocking. 'Come in' the director's voice came from inside. She opened the door and went inside. She saw a guy sitting with his back facing her while the director was facing him. "Hello Sooyoung-ah. Please meet Dr. Do. I want you to work with him. The thing is he is going to be your partner in the next world medical presentation which will be held in Jeju." The director said. 'SooYoung' her director likes to call her by her real name but she doesn't like it that much. 

The said male turned around and look at Joy. When she saw his face it felt like the whole world froze. All her memories of her high school life coming back. Do Kyungsoo. There he is in front of Joy looking at here with same surprised face. Joy felt tears in her eyes. She wanted to run out of the room so much. But she is a doctor and have to act like a professional. So she did what a professional doctor would do. She said 'yes'. Though she regretted saying 'yes' a little. She was definitely going to the club to drink. She needs to get wasted this day after seeing the one person she hated the most in her life after 7 freaking, fucking years. She felt like her head will explode or something.

Do Kyungsoo had regretted all his life choices when Joy left the country and knowing that it was because of him hurt him to core. But he kind of deserved all the pain his heart is suffering from because of the way he treated the one he loves the most. After Joy had left he became a mess if it wasn't for his friend Sehun. The younger male had helped him in every way and he was reason why he is successful now. The reason he became a successful doctor in 'Seoul Central Hospital'. The director of the hospital had told him that he will be partnered up with another female doctor from J Hospital. And that two of them will go to Jeju as a partner for the World Medical. He was honestly excited to meet. He went to the J hospital and went straight to the director's office. The director told him to wait a little because the doctor who was supposed to be his partner still haven't arrived. So he just sat in front of the director as he waited making some small talks. But he felt nervous all of a sudden as if something bad or maybe good was going to happen.

Just then the office's door opened and he heard a female come in. The director told the female about the presentation and all. Wanting to see who he was being paired up with he turned around and looked only to felt his heart drop when he saw the girl he loved the most after 7 years. He swore his heart stopped for a few seconds. There stands Joy. The girl who he loved with all his heart. His heart break when Joy's surprised expression pulled up a faked smile and said 'yes' to the director. Kyungsoo felt like he might faint. He heart hurt seeing the fake smile. He looks at her with wide eyes. She had become more beautiful, more matured and more angelic. He regretted not holding her back. He regretted everything he did to hurt her in the past. He suddenly felt like a monster for hurting such a kind, pure and beautiful girl without any reason.

Her long hair fall down her shoulders gracefully. And the white doctor's coat makes her look more beautiful than she already is. He was snapped out of his thought when Joy suddenly bowed and went out of the room. "Then director-nim I will be going." He hurriedly said as he got outside of the room. He needed to talk to Joy. Say sorry to him. But his heart said it was too late. Maybe or maybe not. He saw Joy entering the elevator so he ran inside the elevator successfully before it closed. Joy look at him with wide eyes. But didn't say anything. "Uh hey Joy." Kyungsoo greeted awkwardly. "Hey." Joy said back uninterestedly. "How is life?" Kyungsoo asked. "Great I guess." Joy answered trying not to run away from the elevator or something. Talking, scratch that being with Kyungsoo makes her feel so suffocated.

"I-I want to talk to you about s-something." Kyungsoo said stuttering. Just the elevator opened. "Uh Talk to you later Dr. Do I have some things to take care of." Joy said literally rapped out the sentence. 'Damn i should try to be a rapper or something.' She thought. She tried to get out of the elevator but Kyungsoo hold her wrist stopping him and dragging him inside. He pushed the button which was the button to go the roof of the hospital. "What are you doing Dr. Do?" She said trying to pulled away her hands from Kyungsoo's grip. "Joy don't be so formal with me. And I need to tell you somethings. Please." He said. Joy relaxed a bit, a frown etched on her face. They arrived to the roof of the hospital. "So what did you wanted to talk about?" She asked as she stepped out of the elevator. The gentle wind blowing her hair to the side gently. 

Kyungsoo took a deep breath as he readied himself to tell Joy everything. "Joy I am r-really sorry for what I did to you. In the past; during high school and college. I d-don't know why I even bullied you. I-I really loved you but instead of showing love I bu-bullied you said bad things to you. When I said I didn't wanted to see you it was the complete opposite. I regretted everything when y-you left. C-can you give me a c-chance please?" Kyungsoo said, literally begging. He was on the verge of breaking down. He didn't wanted to lose Joy again. And he was afraid of rejection. "I-I hate you much Do kyungsoo. You ruined my whole school and college life. But you know what I-I also used to love you a lot. I fall in love with you when I first saw you on the hallway in high school. B-but then you started bullying me. I was so hurt. But still... my heart wants you. You are such an asshole. You stupid." Joy said as she started crying and hitting Kyungsoo's chest.

"S-so do I get a chance? Or not?" Kyungsoo asked. "Y-yes. You get a chance you dumbass." She said. Kyungsoo felt so happy. He felt warmth spread in his chest, in his heart. She pulled Joy in a hug. But pulled away quickly when he realized what he was doing. He saw Joy's face turn red. "So I-I have to go now. If you don't mind can you give me your number?" Kyungsoo asked as he pulled out his phone from his pocket. Joy took it and typed in her number saving it. They slowly went inside the elevator and went down. Kyungsoo walked out of the hospital when they reached the ground floor but not before giving Joy a peck on her face. Joy just stood there frozen. 'Maybe a new start wouldn't be that bad.' She thought as her face turned pink and her friends came out of nowwhere and started teasing her about the new doctor giving her a peck and all.
