In every show I've watched, the couple who argues about the sleeping arrangement always end up on the bed, tangled together. In our case, Aiden stuck to his word and stayed outside my room.
When I woke up at 6am, to get in a run. Aiden was already sitting and tying his shoes. He made his bed. I noticed that, he really did come with his gym bag.
"Heading out?" I asked him.
"I'm going for a run. Would you mind if I leave my stuff here?" He responded. I looked at him. He's being too comfortable around my apartment, but I shrugged it off.
"Go ahead, you can even shower." I offered, while also getting ready for my own run. I made my way to my kitchen to grab a banana, apples and milk for a smoothie. I heard a chair move, realizing that Aiden must have followed me.
"You're going for a run too?" He asked me, while I busied myself with the blender.
I leaned on the counter to face him. "Aren't you being a little too familiar with my place, Commander?"
He smirked at me. "I'll be out of your hair in a while, sweetheart. Why don't you share your smoothie with me?"
I scowled at him, but moved to get another glass anyway. He thanked me, and took a sip.
"I could get used to this." He said. I laughed at him.
"I'd feel better if you don't. You'll be my unofficial housemate, like Liv."
"Liv is a health nut. Why-" I cut him off.
"Your sister is a health nut. She thinks home cooked meals are healthy, and since she's lazy. She goes here and raids my fridge."
Aiden laughed. "I've missed a lot, since serving"
I looked at him, thoughtfully. "Have you considered not going?"
He smirked, "Are you done bumming? Should we go for a run?"
He evaded my question. I didn't think too much over it. "Can you keep up with me?
He chuckled. "The question is can you keep up with me?"
I smiled at the challenge. I knew that the possibility for me to run faster than him is slim.
We were in central park, and he runs faster than I expected, with a consistent pace. I thought submarines or ships or whatever he boards, don't have running space. As expected, I always have a view of his ass running away from me. I chuckled at the thought.
"Hey Doc! I know I have a nice ass but try to keep up." He called out to me. I shook my head refusing to respond or else I might run out of breath.
When I lost Aiden in the crowd of people enjoying the park, the empty bench is where I headed. He has a phone and I have mine. He can call me. Or suddenly pop out of nowhere.
"Too much for you?" He asked me. I laughed but kept my seated position. I heard him sigh but sat down beside me.
"Did you know that each time we meet, you always get called out for some emergency?" He started. I looked at him and chuckled.
"I think you attract accidents, Commander." I answered.
"I think the correct term is heart attack, babe." He replied. I didn't react. I wanted to make him sweat.
"Not funny." I told him. I watched his face, observing my reaction, then he poked me.
My straight expression was gone in an instant and replaced with slight annoyance. I was trying to move away from him. I didn't realize that I moved too far off the bench and fell ungracefully on the ground.
