The next day, Mettaton and Sans decided to visit Toriel, Asgore and Frisk. They're sitting together in the living room. Asgore asks

''Why would someone as caring as Papyrus run away like this?''

''I do not know...'' Says Toriel.

''I might have an idea'' Says Sans.

He stands up.

''I've been pretty selfish, lately... I've always been very selfish... Or, to make it more clear... I've been selfish for 6 years straight. Mettaton and Papyrus has been together for 6 years. Ever since they came together, i... I couldn't think clear. I didn't feel like they deserved each other, and that they would be together for long. I never liked Mettaton, and Mettaton never liked me, so seeing them together made me... Not like him even more. Now that Mettaton's shows and Tour is starting, i had a feeling that he was cheating on Papyrus, so i wanted Paps to think about it, so i could be free from Mettaton for once, but-''

''Oh my god, Sans...''

''Mettaton, im sorry, okay? I dont like what i've done, and im really sorry. I mean it. But, as i was saying, i told Papyrus that, and then-''

''I know you dont like me, but doing such things is just low, even for you''

''Mettaton, i've said sorry. Please let me continue''

''I just need to get this off my chest, because-''

Frisk tell them to calm down, and everyone understands the point now. Papyrus left because he didn't like the argument between Sans and Mettaton.

''...That makes sense...''

''Sorry, kid. That was what i wanted to point out, thank you''

''Okay, maybe its time to talk this out, Sans...''

''Hm?''

''Sans, we need to figure this out, or else Papyrus will never live with us in peace, ever. Why do we hate each other so much?''

''Hm... When Papyrus was a huge fan of you, and watched your shows, i tried to join in for a while, but i didn't really enjoy it as much as he did. You were just too dramatic and annoying for me, and i didn't watch it with him anymore. Then we came to the surface, and then you actually met and became a couple. I thought you would be different off-camera, but you're still the same... It was okay for you two to hang out in the start, i just went into my own room and did something else, but then you started coming to visit us all the time, and whenever i tried to talk with Papyrus about anything, you would always interrupt and ignore me, and i was scared that you would treat Papyrus the same way, so i started to dislike you even more... But, i can see that i haven't been very nice to you. I've been selfish, annoying, rude, etc, so im sorry''

''Oh... Okay. Thats fine, Sans. At least we're solving this problem now. Now its my turn... Hmm... When i first met Papyrus, he was just so lovely and perfect! I loved everything about him, and i knew we would become a great couple. Then i met you. You were nothing liek him, and that was fine and all... But i felt like it was you who started being rude towards me, and then both of us. I just didn't want that kind of negativity in our relationship, so all i wanted was Papyrus. But, like how you can see your mistakes, i can see my mistakes, too. I haven't been very nice to you either, and im truly sorry for that''

Sans doesn't know what to say. Toriel is having a bright smile. She loves it when people close to her finally talk things out and become friends. She gives them an idea.

''Why not talk about how you should treat each other from now on? What can you do to treat each other right and fair?''

She truly is a teacher. Mettaton comes with his idea first.

''Maybe i should be more open to have a conversation with you and share Papyrus with you a bit more''

''Heh... I would love that. Thanks. I guess that i'll have to do the same''

''This is a very good start'' Says Asgore.

Frisk says that they're ready to help at anytime, and then they go out to the kitchen to make everyone some tea.

''So, now that we're even, i guess its easier to think about where he could be'' Says Sans.

''I mean, its probably because of us that he ran away, and like you said yesterday, he would be together with someone he trust, so who could that be, besides me and you?''

''Undyne, but he's not there. She doesn't know where Papyrus is either. Not even Alphys''

''Can't she detect his phone?''

''He didn't bring his phone with him, i've heard his phone ring many times now...''

''Oh... And its not Toriel or Asgore, either''

''He would trust Frisk, but Frisk lives with Toriel and Asgore, and he's not here''

Frisk comes back ans gives everyone tea.

''Thank you, my child''

''Thanks, darling''

''Thanks, buddy''

''Hey Frisk, darling... Do you have any idea where Papyrus could be?''

Frisk says they dont know.

They all keep talking about this and even finish their tea.

Its late, and Mettaton and Sans is going home.
