Chapter 8:

in woke up, hung over. My head was pounding and it hurt, and I felt sick.
"Ugh". I said, rolling out of bed.
I coud not remember the night before. But I breifly rememberedd how we finished the music video, then Nicolas Cage and I cam back here, then i got drunk.
Omg I was so embarrassed! I can't believe I got drunk in front of Nicolas Cage! i juried into the bathroom to clean myself up, then wen t downstairs to say sorry to Nicolas Cage.
But he was not down there. one he counter tho it was a note.
Abby,
I hope uo slept well. i. Had to go out to a meeting but i will be back soon.

I red the letter and sighed (get it cuz I'm emo). I hope I did not upset him. Quietly, i went back up to my room and went on my laptop.
there I was sjocked to find that the music video we filmed yesterday was already posted?! And it had 2miklion views already!!! So many people were talking about it.! quickly, i checked my own utube Chanel, where I posted my songs. i suddenly had 5 million views!!! and like a bunch of new subscribers! This was so crazy.
I rushed downstairs to tell Nicolas Cage about it but rhen suddenly, I remembered that he wasn't home yet. Sadly, I sat down on the steps. new fame was cool and all, but it weirdly didn t feel as good it when Nicolas Cage wasn't there to celibate.
things were so much more meaningful when you have someone you love there with u. And I really was in love with him. he was just so kind and caring that it made my heart pound when ever he was near. Would i ever be able to tell him how i felt? And then I remembered the text he got from Maddie last night.
Did...maddy like him too?? Or was she just trying to make me mad?? Or BOTH?!?! she was pretty and acts nice and all of that, but...
I hurried back up stairs to check her social media's. Maybe she left some cluse there.
she ha d made, like, a thousand new posts since I last checked. A lot of them were promoting the new misic video. then I noticed she did a Q and A about the song and video.
Curiously, i read it.

Q: What is the song about?
A: It's about highschool and how fun it is and how you shouldn't worry about stuff while you are there, you should just have fun while ur young!💋💁‍♀️
Q: What was it like working with Abby?
A: She was rlly inexperinced but it was actually rlly nice getting to work with a rookie for a change, instead of the talented celebritis i normally work with. I was able 2 teach her a thing or two which I am rlly happy about, and i hope the best for her.
Q: Do you have a new boyfriend?
A: Lol Omg! I am in between relationships but thats not to say i dont have my eyes on anyone 😏😏😍😘😂😂
I stopped reading there, angry. that basicallyconfirmed it, she was into Nicolas Cage.
I coulnot believe it.
Upset, I felt my eyes well up with tears, but then I thought that Maddie was so rude anyway that I should not care about her.
Suddenly, as tho on cue, Nicolas Cage Came into the room.
"Hey Abby what's up?" He said, walking inside.
"Oh, hey." I said. I blushed and averted my eyes. "I'm sorry about last night. I didn't mean too-"
"It is ok." Her said. "you didn't do anything wrong"
i felt rlief was over me. Biting my lip, I said "anyway, do yu want to watch the music video?"
"Oh wow sure." He said. "I did not realise it came out"
Then he sat next to me on rhe couch, which I was not expecting.
"Can i watch it?" He asked me.
"Oh, yeah, sure.." my voice was small. He was sighting so close!
i pulled the video up on my laptop.
We watchedd the video to get her.
Nicolas Cage was very impressed.
"Wow it turned out really good, i'm really impressed!" He smiled and looked into my eyes and for once, I didn'tlook away. Instead I smiled back, my hart rate picking up as we looked into eachothers eyes.
i has no idea how much time had passed. Was it seconds, minutes, hours? Again, his face almost seemed to be get ting closer. Or ws that my imagination? our hands were definitely touching a lil bit. could this be......... The ONE??!?!!
All of a sudden, his phone started to ring. I snapped back to realitity as he pulled back and checked the screen.
"I have to take this" he said, almost apologeticly. He stepped outside and I was left sadly on the couch.
We almost kissed!! I was SHRE of it this time. Did that mean that he liked me? maybe......
I was almost heartbroken, tjinking about what could have been. As Nicolas Cage reeentered teh room, it tookalll of my willpower to not match up to him and kiss him right then and there. Instead, he said "Hey so their having a party tonight for the music video release and they want you to come, are u interested?" He asked.
"Hmm.." i said back. Not really, but I knew it was important for ma career. "Alright" I sighed, standing up
"Okay, let's get ready for that and then we will go." He said, also I think flashing me a smile as he turned out of the room.
I sighed as I stood and decided to go into my closet to look at the different clothes.
it decided to not wear all black for once (A/N: NOOOOO!!!) and instead pulled out a cute short dark red mini dress with a black bow around the waist, as well as black strappy high heels and also a few black bracelets. I styled my hair so it was wavy and all hung on one side and then I did my makeup. Overall I was feeling pretty cute. then I went sownstairs where i approaches Nicolas Cage, who had also dressed up nicely and I thought he looked amazing and handsome.
He looked at me and almost didn't say anything, just stared wide eyed for a second. Before I could do anything, he grinned and said "You look beautiful."
I was shocked, becuase I don't think he had ever said that to me before. I stamemrred out a thank you before we went out to the limo and went to the party.
