✄ One of Max's eyes, the left one to be exact, is blind. That's just how he was born. It's hard to tell at first but that eye is gray, milky, and cloudy.
✄ Max is always wearing long pants and long sleeved shirts or jackets. The reason for this should be pretty obvious and you'll never see him dressed otherwise. The boy also wears lots of makeup every day. If he didn't, the bruises on his face would be visible to all. Over the many years of abuse, he's gotten fairly good at doing his makeup.
✄ Max has never celebrated his birthday. Truthfully, he doesn't even know what his birthday is. It's September 4th, but his parents have never told him. He's never celebrated Christmas or any other holidays either.
✄ Max hasn't left his abusive home for one main reason alone. In a way, he has Stockholm syndrome. The poor boy is too dependent on his horrid parents. He doesn't think he'd be able to live without them, even if he doesn't love them. They've made him this way. They've made it so he needs them. He's also still there because they've blackmailed him and he's terrified of what would happen if he tried running away or telling anyone what they do to him.
✄ The man who brought Max back to life was an old sorcerer and necromancer who lived in his neighborhood. He had been watching the boy his whole life. He didn't know about the abuse but he knew that Max was a sad boy who deserved to live a long and happy life. The man didn't know that Max wanted to die.
✄ Speaking of death, Max really does want to die. He's tired of living and suffering and just wants to close his eyes forever. But he refuses to kill himself. He's not a coward and he doesn't want anyone to think that he gave up. He wants someone else to kill him.
✄ If you ever get the chance to see Max's lips without makeup, then you'll see the X. When he was only ten, his father took a knife and carved an X into the boys lips. The X has scarred over and it's still there. It's a constant reminder that Max isn't allowed to talk when his parents are home. If he makes one sound, he'll get beat more than usual.
✄ If Max ever got into a relationship or, hell, simply found a close friend, he'd probably abuse them. It's not because he wants to, it's just that abuse is all he knows. When he was a kid, his mother told him that his father hit him because he loved him. Deep down, Max believes that's true in a way. His mind links abuse with affection.
✄ Max bullies the people he goes to school with. He beats up and yells profanities at the smaller, weaker kids. And he's a murderer. He kills people to take his own anger and pain out. He wants them to feel what he feels on a daily basis and he wants them to understand. Max also bullies and kills because he just wants some control in his life and he doesn't get any of that at home.
✄ Max has terrible insomnia. He has a very hard time getting to sleep at night, mostly because he's scared he'll get beat in his sleep, and when he finally does get to sleep, he usually has really bad nightmares. He's woken up crying several times, gasping for breath.
