               Suddenly the lights turned off.

Seeker's voice came through the speakers. "Time for bed." Soon a gas seeped into our room and we walked into bed and went to sleep. Why did I do that? Maybe that's how we got our clothes on.  I guess I wasn't really asleep yet. I had complete control of my thoughts still. It's weird. When you can't control your body, you feel as thought it's not your body. It feels like someone else's blood coursing through your veins. I don't know if I'm doing anything right now. I can't open my eyes. Eventually I fell into deep sleep.

Eventually I woke up. My eyes were blurry so I rubbed the sleep out of my eye.

"Aloe? Aidan? Hello?" Where was everybody? How did I get here? I was in a much smaller room with no windows and only one door and a toilet and a sink. The place was much more run down than the elegant room we stayed in before.  Here, the bed was hard and stiff, and the sheets had many holes in them. The walls and ceiling had cracks and stains. I spun around and found a door.  I assumed it was locked.

"Hello, as you noticed, your in separate rooms. Not to worry, you'll be with each other again if you complete the challenge. And Ashni, the door isn't locked. Have a good day."

I felt stupid. How did Seeker know what I was thinking? Oh well. I need to complete this challenge if we want to get out of here. I bet Aloe is scared. Why is she suffering? She's so young. I opened the door and found a long, clear tube and began walking through it.

We were still in the sky. Walking in a clear tube over the sky is kind of unnerving. What if the glass breaks? I began to power walk to the end of the tube, but before I could get to the end, the tube had a metal floor section. There was a hole in the tube. There was a note.

If you want to get across, and not fall to your doom, you must connect the color-coded wires to each other.

I looked behind me. The glass had a huge hole in it. Wires. I hate wires. They spark and sizzle and. Yeah. I hate them. So I walked over to a metal bow and found twelve separated wires in it. There was blue, red, black, green, yellow, and brown. Huh. Black for darkness, red for fire, blue for water, green for plants, brown for rocks, and yellow for electricity. Seeker put a lot of little details into this challenge, I thought dimly. Why does he? ZAP! One of the wires sparked after it touched another. The whole tube shook.

"Aah!" After I calmed myself down and steadied my feet, I took my shaky hands and took the two black wires. They sizzled as I put them together. I whimpered in fear. I let them drop once I connected them, but they came apart. How am I supposed to keep them together? I spotted some electrical tape at the bottom of the box. That would have been helpful a minute ago.  I took the black wires and connected them again and they sizzled twice as loudly than last time. I jumped back.

Darcel would laugh at me right now. I wonder what his challenge is. I took the black wires again and taped them together. I took the green wires next. I connected them, and as I was about to tape them, a loud POP POP POP came from them. Do it for Aloe, I thought.  I continued to tape them together. "Done." Four more to go.

The yellow wires were simple. They didn’t sizzle of zap or anything. Next I did the brown wires. Peter. So hot, and cute, and hmm. I finished those with ease. Just two left. Aidan has a fear that any other person should be afraid of. Fire is dangerous. I feel bad for her. Done with hers. Blue.  Aquaria. I don't trust her. There's something... off about her. She talks less than Darcel. My finger touched the copper wire. My finger started to burn. It felt as though someone was cooking my finger. My finger was scorched and had black markings on it. I was seething with pain. I need to finish, I thought.

I connected the wires and taped it together carefully. I purposefully avoided using my left forefinger. I waited for the floor to close up, but it didn't. I re examined the box. There was a large plug at the bottom. "Easy enough. I just dealt with sparking wires, this is no problem." I connected the plug to the socket and the floor closed.

I ran to the end of the tube and opened the door. I was the only one there. I saw five other doors. "They must still be doing their challenges." I sat and waited for them to come.
