Once everybody finished their task, we went back to our room where an elegant dinner was awaiting us. Aquaria was soaking wet. There was a deathly silence among the room. Nobody wanted to talk. Everybody sat alone and slowly and silently chewed their bacon-beef fillet.

Aidan eventually spoke up. "If we're going to work as a team and get out of here, we need to know what just happened in those rooms. Who wants to start?" A moment of silence passed. "Okay I'll go. I had to sit by a fire." She paused and chuckled to herself. "I felt so pathetic afterward. I mean come on! I just had to sit by a fire! I'm guessing you guys felt the same way."

I replied, "Well, yeah. All I had to do was type in 'I will face my fears' into a computer. I felt so ashamed. Most seven-year-old kids can do that."

Aloe spoke up. "What are you talking about? They made me eat spinach. I didn't feel ashamed. Although I wanted to barf afterwards."

"They poured a bucket of water on me. Why were your tasks so much simpler? They made mine much more extreme in terms of fear than yours."

I didn't notice before, but Aquaria was surprisingly dirty. I assumed she didn't take showers or baths. There was a layer of grime under he nails. Her hair was greasy. So she really was afraid of water. A suspicion began to rise inside of me. Was she always that dirty? Maybe I didn't notice because her face was mangled up. I let the suspicion go. Why would I even bother thinking about it?

By the time I snapped out of my deep thoughts, Darcel was finishing his story. "-And that’s when the lights shut off and there was only a small candle for light. I mean who knows what could pop out at you when it’s dark. A vampire could bite you. Anything could happen."

I rolled my eyes. Everyone else followed suit. "It could happen!" Darcel shoved his head in his pillow.

Peter was the last to go. "Yeah. Anyway, they made me go in a hole. I forgot to tell you guys, but I'm scared of rocky caverns and other stuff. My parents were hiking in the Caverns when their section collapsed. Going in a hole wasn't that bad. Its mostly just caves."

"So we all shared." I said. "But how will this ever help us?"

"Well I don't know. Maybe we'll… no. Or maybe.... Nah. Well, at least we all know what we're scared of." Aidan was at a loss for words. "Maybe it's time to give in to Seeker."

We were all lost. What are we going to do? And why does Seeker want to use our powers? I walked over to the curtain-covered window. I slowly moved the curtains out of the way and saw that the glass was replaced with solid steel and was emanating an artificial light.

"Guys. We don't have a choice but to give in to Seeker." Peter checked the door. He shook his head. We were trapped.
