Chapter 11

"At one point, I could have never imagined I would be in this place. A place where I look into the eyes of my best friend and pledge to you, my love. You are the sweetest, most loving, and caring person I've ever known. You believe in me when I have doubts and shown me how to love with unconditional acceptance and every day you reaffirm that you're my soul mate. Together we are an unbreakable pair, bound by our love. I'm not sure a lifetime is long enough for me to return all that you've given me but I promise to spend my days by your side. To inspire you, laugh with you, cherish you, share your dreams, and grow with you. I believe in what we are and I will always love you with every beat of my heart. I fell for you unexpectedly but now I plan to be with you. Forever and always". She finished as Mon-El wiped his tears then hers but they weren't the only ones. Everyone was either crying or sniffling up with the excuses: 'it's only the sun' or 'it's just allergies'!. "Mon-El, do you take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold from his day forward? For better or for worse? For Richer or for Poorer? In sickness and in heath, to love and to cherish as long as you shall live?" The officiant asked. Mon-El didn't hesitate. "I do" he said then sliding the ring onto Kara's left finger. "And do you, Kara, take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold from his day forward? For better or for worse? For Richer or for Poorer? In sickness and in heath, to love and to cherish as long as you shall live?" He asked once more. "I do" she said in between tears sliding the golden band onto Mon-El's left finger. "By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you Man and wife! You may kiss the bride." Mon-El didn't have to be told twice as he pulled Kara into a passionate kiss then dipping her while the crowd cheered. "Ladies and Gentlemen, may I present, Mrs. and Mr. Kara And Mon-El Danvers!" The officiant loudly said. The couple then pulled apart with a stupid grin. They did it. They were married!

"Ladies and Gentlemen please rise and join me in welcoming the newlyweds, Kara and Mon-El!" The Dj spoke. Everyone clapped as the two walked in and towards the dance floor. "And now the song for their first dance!" The Dj spoke once more then pressing the play button. Kara wrapped her arms around Mon-El while he wrapped his arms around her waist pulling her close. "What song did you choose since I chose the first one?" She asked curiously. Before he could answer the song started. "Every little thing she does is magic....". Kara's eyes widened. "Oh, I was hoping it would be this one" she said chucking. The two put their foreheads together and slowly swayed then stopped when the song did. The audience clapped then another slow song was played so other couples joined in as well. After dancing for a while was time for the speeches. Cooper decided to go first. "Uh hi everyone. I'd like to propose a toast. To my knucklehead of a friend and his beautiful bride." He started. "As most of you know, Mon-El and Kara's relationship was totally unexpected. Mostly because Kara is classy and attractive and Mon-El is not." The crowd laughed as he continued. "But here's to Kara and Mon-El for proving to us that love is real and genuine and still attainable for the rest of us. Cheers you two" he finally finished raising his glass then walking over to the bride and groom giving Him a bro hug. "Thanks Coop. I guess" Mon-El said laughing. The two chatted before someone else walked up; it was Rachel. "Well, well. I'd like to make a toast, to coopers toast. About love. But wait a minute. What could those two possibly know about love? I mean they haven't been together that long" she slurred out. "Right Cooper? You see, Cooper seems to think that a seventeen year old couldn't possibly know anything about love. It's off topic but I'm being honest! Of course, that didn't stop him from making out with me!" She said laughing. The Dj ran over and tried to take the mic from her. "Rachel, that's enough!" He whispered. "To Loving Cooper!" She finally finished throwing some champagne in Cooper's general direction, running towards the exist placing the glass she had in her hand down.

"Is she serious? I'm so sorry. Excuse me" Cooper said then sprinted towards the exist after her. Outside, Rachel stopped to take a breath. "Hey, Rachel, come on!" She then continued and ran to the drivers side of the limo Kara and Mon-El planned to take to the airport. "'Rachel!" Cooper shouted again with no success as she opened the door to get in. "No no no bad idea!" He said as she started the engine."Dang it Rachel stop the car!" He exclaimed then getting in the passengers seat As she sped up and drove away from the reception. Rachel had been driving for a few miles then pulled over with no hesitation from Cooper getting out of the car. "Are you trying to kill me?! What is your problem! First you ruin the reception, you steal a limousine, then you drive drunk?! Are you out of your mind?!" He yelled. "I must be to fall in love with you!" She fired back getting out of the car with tears streaming. Cooper sighed. "Look I'm sorry, Rachel. I Made a mistake and I didn't mean to kiss you. Especially when you're only seventeen. Heck even when I thought you were older, I wasn't looking to get serious. I'm sorry, that sounds harsh but you even said yourself 'We're only having fun Coop, remember?'" he told her calming down. "I lied" she forced out. Rachel sighed herself. "I'm so stupid." Cooper walked towards her. "Hey don't, don't say that." He whispered to her. "I thought you liked me" she said in between Tears. "I did, Rachel. I liked you" He answered trying to cheer her up. "Yeah. Liked" She answered crying more. "Look, let me take you home, okay?" Cooper asked but Rachel quickly shook her head. "No. I left all my Things back at the reception. My purse, my keys.." he cut her off. "Then we'll take the limousine back to the reception, and we'll pretend like none of this ever happened." He said simply. She nodded and Cooper walked back to the limousine getting in the drivers seat. Back at the reception, Kara and Mon-El were walking down a path to get in the limo then stopped when Alex's car was there. "There was a slight mix up so.." she calmly explained. Kara only smiled. "Sweet! I'm driving!" She said grabbing the keys but Mon-El quickly grabbing them. "No way!"

Mon-El took Kara's hand and lead her to the passengers seat opening the door so she could get in then closing it. "We're going to London for a few days!" Kara told the crowd that had been wanting to know where they were going for their honeymoon. "Doesn't it always rain there?" Alex asked. "Oh yea." Mon-El answered while smirking then getting into the drivers seat. Alex laughed while Maggie wrapped an arm around her. Mon-El started up the engine, slowly driving away. "Thank you all for coming! We love you!" Kara exclaimed as the crowd cheered for them as they drove away. Back with Rachel and Cooper, there was complete silence as he drove back to the reception. "Is there anything I can say to keep you Cooper?" She asked wiping her tears. Cooper turned his head towards her and sighed. "No, I'm sorry" he answered. "That's too bad. Because there's something I need to tell you." She stopped and took a deep breath. "I'm pregnant." As Mon-El drove, Kara began looking around the car to make sure she grabbed her purse but had zero success. "Aww man! I forgot my purse! It had the plane tickets, everything! We have to go back!" She complained. "No no no, I'll just have Alex meet us." Mon-El said trying to calm her then grabbing his phone pressing on Alex's contact. "Alex, hey, Kara forgot her purse is it okay if you meet us somewhere? We're coming up on the Marlena bridge. Yea. Perfect! Okay bye" he then hung up and looked at her. "Done. Alex will meet us." Kara then sighed. "You're good in a crisis." She said. Cooper looked at Rachel in shock. "I don't believe you" he said trying to sound as calm as possible. "Pull over." She said simply "Hell no. We need to talk about this." He said. "I said, pull over!" She yelled. "No!" He fired back. "Pull over!" She yelled again grabbing the wheel while coming up on the Marlena bridge. Kara kissed Mon-El's cheek and looked up. "LOOK OUT!" She yelled alarmed. The two cars were braked but it was too late as the limo broke the railing going into the water while Kara and Mon-El immediacy got out. "Kara, call 911." He told her. "Mon-El don't!" He took a breath. "I love you" he said then dived into the water. "MON-EL!" She screamed.

"MON-EL! SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE!" Kara cried out. Under the water, Mon-El found a opening to get inside. He swam to the front seat and tried unbuckling the seat belts with  success then tried opening the door with none, then lifted his head up to a spot that had not yet filled with water. "Oh, god! Kara! Help!" Mon-El breathed out. "HELP PLEASE!" Kara yelled out while sitting on pavement then looking up when she heard a car engine, immediately getting back up. "STOP, STOP PLEASE!" She said waving her hands. The car stopped and Alex and Maggie stepped out, alarmed. "Kara, what happened?!" Alex asked then running towards the edge. "Rachel and Cooper went over the bridge and Mon-El jumped over and he hasn't come up for a really long time!" She explained in tears then gasping when a body floated up. "MON-EL!" She screamed out. "Oh god." Alex whispered then jumped over. Maggie grabbed Kara's arms. "Did you call 911!" She asked with her voice shaking. "Yeah I did! I called them! Help him Alex!" Kara screamed out putting a hand to her mouth. Alex grabbed the unknown body and swam it to the shore. "ITS COOPER!" She yelled out, with Maggie quickly running down the hill to check to see if he had a pulse then Alex diving back in, coming up a minute later. "I can't find him!" She shouted. "What?!" Kara demanded making sure she heard that right. "I can't find him!" Alex repeated. "What do you mean, he's down there!" Kara fired back. "No, the car is empty!" She then took a breath and looked around. "MON-EL!" Alex shouted. MON-EL!" She shouted again, diving back under the water. "MON-EL!" Kara screamed out. After coming back up, Alex finally found Mon-El on the other side of the shore, with his arm wrapped around Rachel. "Kara, don't look!" She warned, then swam as fast as she could towards them with the ambulance sirens blaring. Kara looked anyway and saw him. "OH GOD, MON-EL!"

Kara sat in the waiting room breathing heavily as Alex held her right hand while Maggie held her left. They had nothing to do but hope. The doctor walked out. "Do any of you know Rachel Williams?" He asked. Kara stood up. "I do" she answered sniffling. "You're free to see her" the doctor told her then walked back in. Kara turned to her sister and sister in law. "I'll be right back." She told them then followed the doctor into the room Rachel was in then left. "What have you done?" She asked softly. "I didn't do anything" Rachel said opening her eyes. Kara sighed. "Is Cooper okay?" She asked. "I don't know." Kara answered then continued. "Do you remember what happened?"Rachel then took a breath. "We were arguing." She started. "About what?" Kara asked. Rachel sighed "I told him I was pregnant. But I lied. I just wanted to scare him." She admitted softly. "It's his fault though that the car got out of control." She finished. Kara sighed in annoyance. "Don't you dare blame him! I saw you grab that wheel! I may not have my powers but I still saw it! If something happens this is on you!" She yelled out then turned when Alex walked in. "Mon-El is awake." She said. Kara looked at Rachel. "I'm not finished with you" she simply said then running out after Alex told her the room number. When she entered, Mon-El turned his head and smiled. "There's my princess" he said softly. Kara walked over tearing  up again. "Are you okay" she asked while crying more. He nodded. "I'm okay. Hey please don't cry. I hate seeing you cry" he spoke softly using his thumb to wipe her tears. She sniffled. "I'm just glad you're okay" she said after a moment of silence. Mon-El sighed. "I'm never leaving you princess. I'm yours. "Okay?" He told her. "Okay" she answered nodding then leaning down to kiss him softly.
