Ethan looked up at his father once he closed the fridge, blue eyes wide with a guilty look on his face. Mon-El wasn't too happy to see that his son disobeyed him. "ETHAN WINN DANVERS!" He yelled as he angrily placed what he got out of the fridge on the counter. Ethan stepped back startled. His father never used his middle name unless he did something horrible. The last time he got in trouble was when his Grandpa J'onn took him to mars for his birthday. Let's just say that his parents' weren't too pleased since J'onn said he was only taking him out to go to a carnival that was in town that year then some ice-cream after. They got over it. "I told you not to touch the batter!" He told him sternly. Ethan took the bowl off his head as his lip quivered. Mon-El immediately felt like his own father but grew soft. "No no Ethan I didn't mean to make you cry! I'm so sorry!" He said then walked towards him. The five year old boy took off into the living room and hid behind an armchair. "What's going on here?" Came Kara's voice as she entered the kitchen, her arms full of grocery bags. "I made our son cry." He told his wife, while he helped her place the bags on the counter. "What did you do?" She asked softly, gently placing a hand on his shoulder. "I was making a desert for after dinner and told him not to touch the batter, but he jumped up and touched it anyway which resulted in a big mess. Rao I'm such a bad person!" He told her In distress. Kara chuckled lightly and shook her head. "You're not a bad person. He did something you told him not to do. He disobeyed you and that wasn't okay. You acted like a parent." She said. "But I made him CRY!" Mon-El said clearly in distress. "Because he's not used to you acting that way." Kara told him as she went to put the food away. "Exactly!" He exclaimed before continuing. "I'm the fun parent and you're the mean and strict one! We talked about this." Kara paused and turned her head. "Did we?" She asked as her head cocked to the side in utter confusion and amusement. Mon-El sighed in more distress. Kara closed the fridge and went to cup his cheeks. "Go and get some air. I'll talk to Ethan and start dinner." She told him softly.

Mon-El didn't buy it. "I'll pick up a pizza on the way home." Kara lightly hit his chest then went to the living room after he left. She found her son still hiding in a ball behind the armchair. "Hi" She whispered. "Hi" Ethan whispered back. "Whatcha doing?" Kara asked lightly. "Hiding." He answered as he curled up more. "Why?" Kara asked softly. "Daddy yelled." Ethan responded. His mother chuckled lightly and held out a hand so he can come out. One he stood up, Kara crouched down. "He didn't mean to. You did something after being told not to do. Your daddy is a little stressed about his Alien we've been handling. He didn't mean it. I promise" She told him as she picked him up and placed him on her lap once she sat down. The five year old was intrigued. "Alien? Kind?" He needed more information. Kara laughed and saw a little bit of Cat Grant in him. Seeing the needing more information and clearly interested at the sudden news. Which is why she's the godmother. Kara is hoping that he'll become a reporter or superhero one day. Of course she won't be disappointed if he doesn't. It's his life to live. "Well he's called the menator!" She Began and laughed when her son's blue eyes widened,already interested. "He can turn regular objects into real life monsters. Meaning that he could make the big T-Rex in the museum come to life! Of course the dinosaur would still be in bones but still extremely dangerous. But there's a catch. He's also a mind reader and can feel whenever a superhero is near. He seems to cover up his tracks pretty well but everyone is working hard to find him before anyone else gets hurt." She finished. Ethan smiled widely. "You can do it mama!" He exclaimed and hugged her tightly. Kara stood up and hugged him tightly then put him down. "I was thinking of surprising your dad with some homemade lasagna! What do you think?" She asked. "Can I help!" Ethan exclaimed. Kara took a moment to think about it despite of what happened twenty minutes ago and nodded. "Of course." She canswered, grabbed his hand and walked to the kitchen. Kara was putting the finishing touches on the food that may or may not have taken her many tries When Mon-El walked in.
~~~~"There are my two favorite people!" He said with a wide smile and kissed Kara then kissed Ethan on his head. The little boy quickly got up and hugged him with his little arms. "I'm so sworry daddy!" He said. Mon-El picked him up and hugged him as well. "It's okay. And I'm sorry for shouting. You just need to obey orders. Will you do that from now on?" He asked. Ethan nodded his head. "I will." He told him. Mon-El put Ethan back down and was amazed of how delicious the food looked. "Is this a miracle! My wife actually made something and didn't burn down the house!" He exclaimed. Kara threw a dish rag at him. "I've gotten better!" She said defensively. Ethan laughed as he watched his parents bicker at the simplest things. He then got up and tried to climb on his mother as a sign of needing more attention. Kara leaned down and picked him up and kissed his cheek. Later on after the meal, Maggie and Alex showed up unexpectedly. "A new episode of Law and Order is on tonight and I need to make another bet with your husband." Maggie started. Kara laughed and pointed to the couch were Mon-El just sat down after putting their son to bed. Maggie went over while Alex and Kara sat at the kitchen and talked. "Hey Kara do you mind if I make some coffee? We'll probably be here a while." Kara laughed at her sisters request. "You literally ask every single time. Take whatever you want! But don't touch the stash of Maggie's vegan ice cream or she'll probably shoot you." Alex rolled her eyes and went to set a pot of coffee to brew. "Wouldn't dream of it. Do you want a cup?" She asked her younger sister. She shook her head. "I just ate dinner but thank you though." Maggie and Mon-El were absorbed in the bloody crime scene displayed on the scene to acknowledge their significant others. "I bet you ten dollars it's the boyfriend's brother." Maggie told Mon-El as she held out her hand ready to shake on the bet. "Piss off, I'm not falling for this again. You win every time and I'm not stupid." He Scoffed. Maggie smirked, knowing she was going to win. "Trying to con him again Maggie?" Kara asked, raising her eyebrows then sat next to her husband.
~~~"Luckily I learn from my mistakes so I know the line when it comes to bets." Mon-El stated and wrapped an arm around Kara. "It only took you what? Six loses?" Maggie asked, a smug look plastered on her face. "I guess your pride couldn't handle another one, huh?" Mon-El rolled his eyes and bit his lip to stop himself from smiling. "Fine. Ten dollars that it's not the boyfriend's brother." Kara rested her head on Mon-El's shoulder. "She's going to bleed you dry before our son starts flying." She told him as she watched the show with interest, mainly to find out who the killer was. Later on, there was an uproar as the killer was identified as the boyfriend's brother. "Shit!" He cursed collapsing back on the sofa in defeat. Maggie threw her arms up in victory. "Cough up. I told you that you wouldn't be able to beat me." She said. Mon-El sat back up. "You're cheating!" He protested. "You've somehow already seen the episode! There is no way you can get all of them right every time." Maggie smiled innocently. "Um, I happen to be a detective that handles all cases especially ones that go bump in the night. One of the best if I do say so myself and I'm personally offended that you would doubt my investigation skills." She gasped, and held a hand to her chest in mock offense. "Whatever." Mon-El grumbled. "We all know you'd get your ass handed to you if it was like, that one where you Buy the things and the houses or whatever." Alex laughed as she Came over and sat down on Maggie's lap. "What? Are you talking about monopoly?" She asked giving Him a strange look. "I don't know what it's called, you just-, you but places and there's money Involved." He shrugged. "Oh my god you three are like little kids!" Kara laughed, as she looked back and forth at them bickering. "No. No" Alex said holding her hand up. "I want to hear this proposal. Monopoly you say?" Mon-El sighed, already regretting challenging her. "Well I've never played it before but I know I'd beat you." Kara gave him a look. "Wait you've never played Monopoly?" He shook his head. "We never really had board games on Daxam, and We are usually too busy to sit down and play one." He explained.
