Chapter 6
------------------
Mooseok was pacing in a circle in his quarter. This made his only servant, Han, wondered what his lord was thinking. the small guy knew if his lord started to pace around, meant his lord was thinking about something. Something that his lord didn't know about and new to. This was usually up to no good, but Lord Mooseok was an opportunist guy. He knew how to get out from a very sticky situation. So, knew about his lord's habit, Han only sat calmly and waited. But not for a long time Mooseok talked to him.
"Han..," Mooseok stopped and looked at his servant.
"Yes, my Lord?,"
"Why don't you ask what I am thinking about?," Mooseok's question made Han had an expression like (=_=;). This lord of his was unbelievably unbelievable. Han knew from his experience whenever Mooseok paced around, he didn't like to be bothered by anyone. Once Han asked him but he got scolded so hard. And now he asked him why he didn't ask him? Ah... ha... ha... Cham1...
"My Lord, whenever I ask you when you are being like this, you always scold me and be angry. How come I dare myself to taste the same bitter medicine?," Han almost rolled his eyes.
"But this is different, Han. You have to ask me. So I know what to do. I need your opinion," Aish, this lord is really weird! Han just sighed in his mind and asked him anyway.
"What's wrong, my Lord? What has caused you to pace around like this?," Even though Han was a bit irritated earlier, he still asked Mooseok attentively.
"Han... Actually... I don't even know...," Mooseok's answer made Han went (=_=;;;;;;;;;;;). This lord is really something!
It had been two weeks since Mooseok kissed Kyungtak. But he felt like it was just yesterday. To be honest, that night Mooseok need some fresh air. He felt restless and couldn't sleep. He felt something in his heart and mind didn't settle down. So he went outside and walked around the palace. He didn't know if it was a habit or something similar, he didn't realize that his feet walked towards the Time & Tree pavilion. But he knew, he could think better whenever he was in that particular pavilion.
And when he stepped into the pavilion's yard, who knew the person that sometimes haunted him in his mind and dream was standing, bathed in the moonlight, looked so celestial yet magical. It was like that person would disappear with the moonlight. Mooseok was about to call his name but Kyungtak noticed him quickly. He thought it was stunning how keen Kyungtak's sense was.
He smiled whenever he remembered how cute Kyungtak was whenever Mooseok was around him. From faraway, Kyungtak looked like an iceberg. Cold, untamed, arrogant and shield himself perfectly. But he knew how Kyungtak's eyes lit up whenever Mooseok told him his adventure story, how addictive Kyungtak's laugh was... Mooseok knew he saw the other side of Kyungtak that the latter tried so hard to conceal.
When they met for the first time, Kyungtak had already caught his attention. That time, even though they were talking for a short time, Mooseok felt he finally found someone with same vision and mission as him. It was rare! He felt he finally found a real friend. But the more they came across each other path, the more Mooseok felt something inside him stirred up whenever Kyungtak was around him. And the night they kissed, was like adding fuel to a small fire. Mooseok knew it. He knew it was something he was longing for, something he was waiting for, and dying for.
As much as he wanted it, he knew it was wrong to have feeling for someone who had the same gender as he was, let alone his niece's fiance. But he couldn't help it. His feeling became more and more limitless for the son of Minister of Gwangju. When Kyungtak told him the tale of the Sun and the Moon, Mooseok could see how Kyungtak would smile so sadly as he looked at the lonely moon. How Kyungtak looked so miserable, caged, drowned in the blinding gold of the palace, helpless in front of the power of throne. Beautiful yet painful. Like a rose with its thorns.
