It's finally Tuesday which means that Shawn is coming over for dinner today. When he picked me up from school today I told him that he has to be here at 6pm, it's currently 4:30 which means I have a little over an hour to take a shower and get ready, so I grabbed my clothes and headed toward the bathroom, once I was inside I removed my clothes and I took my bath, when I was done I got dressed

I must of took more time than I expected in the bathroom because as so as I was done with my hair the doorbell rang signaling that Shawn's here , so I walked down stairs and saw mom in the kitchen she probably didn't hear the door, so I walked over quickly and opened it, and I was surprised when I found myself greeted by flowers giggled and said "come in Shawn", he came in but he was still holding the flower" you really didn't need to get me flower", "well I'm sorry to disappoint but the flowers are for your mom",as if on cue my mom walked in holding a vase filled with water she placed it on the table and Shawn placed the flowers inside of it."you must be Shawn it's nice to finally meet you"mom said "and you must be Mrs.Violet, thank you for inviting me over for dinner today","oh it's my pleasure sweetheart, you kids can sit in the living room until I set the dinning table","hey mom do you need any help with that?","no honey you go sit with your friend and I'll be done in a minute".
Shawn and I sat in the living room and watch tv a few minutes later my mom walked in and told. us that dinner is ready so we sat an the table me next to Shawn and mom in front of us "the food looks delicious Mrs.Violet ","ohh Shawn sweetheart call me Sarah Mrs.Violet makes me feel old","okay Sarah".
After dinner which was amazing by the way and I'm sure Shawn agrees because he thanked mom a million time while eating I swear to god that kid it too polite, mom brought out dessert "mom you didn't need to go through all this trouble",Shawn agreed "well consider it a thank you for picking up Tessa from school everyday","oh no trust me picking up Tessa from school everyday is no trouble, it's my pleasure", he looked at when he said the last and smiled.
After dinner we all sat in the living room and talked everything was going great until mom asked "oh I forgot to ask how did you guys meet?"a million scenarios when through my head the moment she asked that because I was sure as hell that I couldn't tell her oh well I actually meet because one of his friends accidentally added me to a group chats filled with boys I don't know and the next thing you know I found myself hanging out with one of them oh and did I forget to mention that he's also our new neighbor Shawn must have seen the look on my face because he said "Tessa actually goes to my old high school","ohh I though you guys were the same age! how old are you Shawn?" mom looked surprised "I'm 18 I graduated last year, and I also live right across the street from you me and my parents and my little sister moved here 2 months ago","wait are you the Mendes's kid I welcomed them to the neighborhood when they first moved in I also met your sister but you weren't here","yup that them I was probably out or something, anyways it was a nice evening thank you so much for dinner Sarah the food was delicious but I should probably head back home now",he finished that sentence while standing up my mom and I stood up as well, she nodded and hugged Shawn.
Shawn and I headed toward the door when we got there Shawn stopped and looked at me and said"I had fun tonight","me too, and thank your saving me back there","no problem, and by the way when your mom met my family I wasn't out I was on tour","I knew you were lying","yeah I figured you wouldn't want your mom to know that your hanging out with a social media influencer just yet","yeah your right, did you see how she looked like when she found out that your older than me",he laughed and said"yeah I did, now goodnight text me before you head to bed","okay Shawn goodnight"I then I kissed his cheek he smiled and walked out.
As soon as I walked into the kitchen my mom literally jumped out of nowhere "I didn't know it took that long to close at door after someone","yeah well we talked for a bit mom","yeah of course, I like that kid he's nice","trust me I know, I'm going to go to bed now so goodnight","goodnight honey".
I went up to my room wore some sweat pants and a hoodie and got into bed I opened my phone and sent Shawn goodnight
