A/N: So, how’d ya’ll like that, I guess it was a cliffhanger, but, anyways, how’d ya’ll like that last chapter, vote and comment! I would really like to know ya’lls opinions!
I glance down at my tail again, “K .. Kracken.” I stutter, staring at my now, white tail and top.
“What about a Kracken?” Louis asks.
“An evil monster type squid that killed the entire royal family of Firodesha.” Lizzie says, knowing I wouldn’t be able to speak.
All of the boys are staring at my tail, it’s sparkly and pure white, I’m sure I would to, if it wasn’t my tail, and I just figured out that I had to kill some beast.
“I think that I’ve heard of that before, I thought the Kracken was in the Bermuda Triangle.” Harry Says.
“It is. We went on vacation in Miami, where one of the points of the Triangle is. Apparently, the answer to all the shipwrecks, is, the merfolk in Firodesha aren’t very good at hiding themselves, and when they’re spotted, they take whatever that person that spotted them on down, and turn all the people to merfolk. So you don’t die when you crash in the Bermuda Triangle, you just grow a tail.” I laugh.
“Creepy.” Louis mumbles.
Lizzie laughs, “Actually, no it’s not really that creepy, the merfolk down there are nice.”
“Yeah, they are.” I agree, “We need to take you down their sometime and introduce you to everyone, well, once I’ve killed the Kracken.”
“I hate to break it you,” Harry starts, “but, we’re not merfolk, we can’t breath underwater.”
“It’s ok, there is a certain type of algae you can eat that will let you breath underwater for an hour, it’s called Gillyweed, I think.”
“Wasn’t that something in the Harry Potter books, that helped Harry in the Tri – Wizard tournament?” Zayn asked.
“Yeah, it is, only merfolk know about it, so I’m guessing J.K. Rowling is a mermaid.” Lizzie.
A/N: I do not take credit for coming up with Gillyweed!!!! It was J.K. Rowling’s idea!!!!!! Not mine!!!!!! Ok, that’s good.:)
“I never thought of that.” Zayn kind of trails off.
My phone started buzzing. I swam over to the stairs in the shallow in of the pool, “Hand me my phone please Liam.” I ask.
“Sure thing.”
He walks over to the chair and grabs my phone, handing it to me. I unlocked it and read the text. I know where you are, and I’m coming. Is what it said. Lizzie saw my reaction and starts to swim towards me. “No, Lizzie, I need your heating power right now, I have to go call Josie.” (Josie is my nickname for Jason, ‘cause it bugs him so much.) Lizzie knows who I mean, so she just nods, and I swing my tail out of the pool and onto the concrete. Lizzie sticks her hand out and begins making the water evaporate off of my tail, giving my legs back. As soon as my tail was gone, I jumped up, wrapped myself in someone’s towel, and ran to mine and Zayn’s room. I open my cell, and call Josie’s familiar number. He picks up and answers groggily, “Hello?”
“Josie, it’s me, Aves.” I say.
“Oh, hey Aves. What’s wrong?” Jason asks me, completely up now.
“It’s back.” I whimper, “It knows where I am and it’s coming!”
“Aves. Where are you?” Jason asks, suddenly becoming serious.
“Somewhere in Mississippi, please can you get one of your FBI friends to track me by my phone or something? I’m really scared!!” I beg.
“Yeah, I’ll call them now, then call you right back.” He says.
“Please hurry!” I scream, starting to cry.
Zayn knocks on the door, “Aves?” he asks, slowly coming in, “Please tell me what, or who, is It?” He walks over to the corner I’m sobbing in and pulls me into a big hug. I sniffle slightly before answering.
“Its name is Dalton, Dalton Coldwater.” I sniffle.
“And what did it do to you?” he asks.
“It, he, uh, we used to go out, we went out for almost two years. I had always acknowledged the fact that he was four years older than me, and I told myself that I wouldn’t let him make me go any farther than I wanted to. And that’s where it all went wrong, I stood my ground and told him, ‘No’ one night, when he said he wanted to make me bleed between my thighs.” I choked back a sob, making me sound like I was hiccupping. Zayn started to say something, but I wasn’t finished, I cut in on him.
“After I told him no, he punched me in the stomach, making me fall over. He started to pin me down, but I remembered that I had opened one of his windows. So I started screaming for help, and, luckily, his neighbors were just getting out of their car. I’m guessing that they told their kids to go call the cops, because almost two seconds later they were in his house, looking for me, and you could here sirens in the distance. He cussed, then punched me square in the face, before getting up and running right into his neighbors. He was sentenced two years in jail, only TWO! After he got out, he found me again, but we were in public, and all he really tried to do was pull me with him. Now, he just texted me, saying he knows where I’m at, and he’s coming.” I scream, going into hysterics again.
“Shh, don’t worry, we’ll get the entire area of this place completely surrounded by the policemen, so no gets in, or out.” Zayn said, trying to comfort me. “And, if it helps, I was in a tragic car accident when I was ten, my parents died, and I got separated from my six year old sister.”
“Zayn?” I start hesitantly.
“Yeah?” he asks.
“To start off, Connie isn’t my real mum, she adopted me. I was also in a tragic car accident where both of my parents died, but I was six at the time, and I got separated from my ten year old brother.” I say.
“Avery, what were your parent’s names? Let’s say them at the same time, mother first. One, two, three.” Zayn says.
“Sheila and Billy.” we say at the same time.
