Chapter 4

During breakfast, we chatted about how we were all doing and what we were going to do while I was away from camp.

After breakfast, as Mom and Dad were doing the dishes, I sat down on the couch with my presents. As I went to pick up the first present, "No!" Mary yelled, "Open mine last!" I carefully set hers back down on the table and grabbed the other present. It was much bigger and slightly heavier, I started to unwrap it. Once I opened the present, I saw inside a framed collage of us and a bunch of funny pictures we took together.

"Thanks Kyle! I love it!" I said, "I knew you would." He said, seeming satisfied I liked his present. "My turn!" Mary said, handing me her present. "Okay okay! Calm down Mary." I said, grabbing her present and shaking it, making mary freak out, before putting in in my lap. It was a blue digital Camera.

"Mary! You shouldn't have!" I said, hugging her. "Well, I thought you could take pictures while your there and when you get back we could see what you did there." she said.

"Thats a great idea!" I said, trying to sound enthusiastic. Just as I was trying to think of something else to say, Mom came in.

"C'mon kids, its time to get going, we dont want June to be late on her first day of camp." Mom said. I checked my phone, "8:03" I hoped we wouldnt be late and I'd have time to get my stuff in my cabin.

I glanced back at my house, surprisingly i was sorta gonna miss it.
