The Fall

I had a fall by the roadside that day
And my foot was quite severely injured
But I thank the Lord for saving me
Through it I was truly blessed
Although I had lost my balance
And couldn't save myself
There was absolutely no hindrance
For my spirit and soul to be joyous
In pain I sat under the sun
On the baking hot pavement
Yet patiently waiting on the Son
For His Grace to allow movement
Miraculously I made my way
Walking all the way home
Despite ligaments and bones had given way
Shattered against the stone
Never had I experienced in my life
That I could sing and laugh through adversity
I must certainly thank my Lord
For bringing me to greater maturity
