"This is ridiculous." Tetra hissed through her teeth at Martha, both girls wearing strained smiles as they descended the hill towards the guards.
"I know, but if we don't do this we'll never get home." Martha's sing-song tone, along with the murderous gleam in the gaze she levelled at Tetra were the only indicators that she'd rather be doing anything but this. Both girls walked with exaggerated hip movements, legs probably a bit wider than Bethany had instructed them on, but Tetra and Martha were in agreement that it enhanced the look. Tetra had given her lion pelt to Bethany before they had parted ways, and she felt so exposed. "We can do this, right?" Martha asked, and Tetra gave her a genuine smile, patting her on the shoulder.
"Of course we can." Tetra assured her, before they stopped in front of the two guards who greeted them suspiciously.
"Hello there, ladies, are you lost? What are you doing here alone?" The burlier of the two asked, and after a moment of awkward silence, Tetra, bit her lip and fluttered her eyelashes.
"Can you guys help us?" Tetra rasped, trying to make her voice as low and 'sexy' as possible, though it was more gravely and unintelligible than she had really intended. Either way, the guards just repeated their phrase, and Tetra and Martha looked at one another, trying a new tactic. Forcing a bigger smile as they looked back at the guard, they burst out into fake laughter.
"Oh my god, you guys are so interesting and funny!" Martha giggled, flipping her hair dramatically. It landed almost entirely on her face, but it didn't matter, the guards seemed unmoved.
"Hello there, ladies, are you lost? What are you doing here alone?" His gun tightened in his grip and he narrowed his eyes at her. Tetra flipped her own hair, before letting out a yelp of pain as the beads in the end of her hair whipped her in the side.
"Are you okay?" Martha whispered awkwardly, pressing her tongue to the roof of her mouth the way Bethany had taught them, lips slightly parted as she looked up at the guards through her mass of hair.
Tetra grinned brightly, all gleaming white teeth and dead shark eyes as she looked at the second guard, bending over to expose more of her cleavage and tilting her head to the side. With an airy fake laugh she turned to Bethany.
"Of course." She responded, but even so, the guards didn't react the way the girls wanted them to, and at the sound of Spencer cutting through the fence, which did catch the guard's attention, so Martha reached forward, hand wrapping around the first guard's bicep. Looking pointedly at Tetra, she nodded to the other guard, and Tetra, getting the point, crossed the distance between them, reaching out and running her hand down his arm.
"Hello there, Tetra," the way he said her voice was a little distorted, like he didn't know how to say it, or he wasn't exactly meant to, "Van Pelt misses you." He leered, his own hand ghosting up her arm to grip tightly at her wrapped bullet wound. Hissing in through her teeth, Tetra wrenched her arm from his grip and she grabbed his jaw, a move which he matched, his hand on her throat, nothing but malice in his shallow gaze. Behind her, she can hear music begin to play, as Martha began to weave around the first guard, but beyond that, she's a little preoccupied.
"I'll kill him." Tetra snarled, struggling for breath, hand grappling at her pockets, searching for something, anything to help her. "And I'll kill you too." Finding nothing, she steeled her resolve and the guard watched as she moved her face forwards, nose and mouth elongating, extending as her eyes glowed green. With horrifying realism, her wolf teeth tear off the guard's face, her teeth ripping through his cheek, grazing against his jawbone, cutting across almost every different element that held his now horrified expression together. He let go of her throat and stumbled back, pulling his gun up to face her, just as Martha yells for her to duck, and takes a flying leap over Tetra's head, kicking the second guard in the chest.
