"What!!!!" they all said in unison.
"You can't be serious, can you?" Sam asked me.
"I'm in," Jake said. We all looked at him in shock as he said this. Even me. "I mean, haven't you all wondered who killed Alice. I know for a fact that I have. Every night before I go to sleep I always wonder who killed one of our best friends and ways we can find it out. So when Megan mentioned it I immediately felt like we could make the person pay for who killed her."
As Jake finished his argument, we all fell silent. "Maybe we should go to a different area to discuss this." Nina pointed out as the lunch hall started to get crowded.
"Yeah that's a good idea," I said.
With that, we left the cafeteria and went to the janitors closet.
"So, anyone else in?" I asked.
" I guess were in too" Sam and Nina said in unison.

I was freezing cold standing there waiting for the rest of the gang. They were supposed to be at my house by 11:30am and it is now noon. I was about to go back in to the warmth but then I heard a loud car honk as I turned on my heel to leave. I then saw Sams car and ran into it before I froze to death.
"What took you guys so long?" I asked.
"We had to get Starbucks," Sam said motioning to their cups.
"We got you one as well, your favourite," Jake said as I got inside the GTR.
"So, where are we going?"

"Why are we here again?" Sam asked out of boredom.
"Because we are going to ask Alice's ex where he was the night she was killed." They all looked at me like I was a nerd who answered a dumb question. "Alice broke up with him and he has been holding a grudge over it ever since. Are you guys really that unsociable?" I asked them.
We all got out of the car and after an intense game of rock, paper, scissors I have to be the one to knock on the door. I was dreading this because he didn't only hate Alice, he hated me too. I knocked on the door and Jake then stood in front of me to protect me just in case he hit me.
What a great boyfriend. He deserves an award.
Anyway, back to the point. We all stood there waiting for a few minutes until the door jolted open for Jake and Mitchell (Alice's ex). Before we continue with the story I forgot to mention one thing. Jake and Mitchell hate each others guts. If you left them in a room together for 1 second, all you would see is blood.
"Look, if I hated Alice, do you really think I would kill her?" Mitchell asked not thinking before he spoke.
"Wait, that came out wrong. What I meant to say was that I would never kill her because....." he trailed off.
"Spit it out!!!!!!!" Nina and Sam said in unison.
"I still loved her," he said.
We all just stared at him like he was a crazy person. He just stared at us blankly. These looks were going on for a while until Sam said:
"Ummmmm, thank you for your time. We're gonna go now and ummm....... yeah"
He was making his way back to the car and we followed after him.
"So, that was weird and unhelpful," Nina said.
"Oh whatever," I said.
The rest of the car ride was just dead silent.

I turned off my phone and smiled to myself.
"Let the games begin."
