Dreams Really do Come True

                                                                                        CHAPTER 1

This is the story of Lucy Vargas. A young girl growing up in sin city, mega tourist site for all who want a couple nights to party and get drunk and give off their money to machines hoping to maybe win some huge cash prize that'll grant them the ability to drop everything they've ever worked for and live and easy life. But beyond the Las Vegas everyone sees is your average city. A place where average kids and adults live their lives everyday. In this city lies a middle school, named Lied Middle School, the school Lucy attends. She is In all accelerated classes, and has many amazing friends. But don't be fooled by her smile, she has been through much. She struggled with cutting for a long time, finally stopping. She had attempted suicide twice, luckily failing both times. She is currently attending the 8th grade, has been for more than 2 weeks.

She enters the school in the same quiet manner, in search of her friend Jordan. When she finds her, she taps her on the shoulder to get her attention. " Lucy! Where were you yesterday?" Jordan exclaims. "Sick. So what did I miss?" Lucy asks. " nothing really important, I'll give you my notes from class so you can get them copied down. And we have a new student, He's in all our classes". "Oh cool. So how's Juliana and PR?" Says Lucy, giggling. Jordan laughs too, " you know you don't have to call him that now that they're dating you know". " I know but I feel more comfortable saying PR" Lucy says with a smile. Suddenly Juliana comes through the front entrance holding PR's hand, smiling a huge smile. She immediately notices us and quickly comes over. "Oh my gosh hey you guys" she says, and PR looks at us and says "sup" with a grin, having let go of her hand and put his arm around her shoulder. Jordan couldn't help but smirk, even though they had been together for more than a week. "Awwww you guys are so cute!" Says Lucy. The bell rings and they all go to their classes. Jordan sits in her seat, next to the boy she had been crushing on since last year, and Lucy takes her seat right in front of her. She turns around to ask Jordan about the new boy, because she was quite curious about him. "don't see any new people here" Lucy says. " oh there he is walking through the door" Jordan says acknowledging the tall boy coming through the door. Lucy looked at him, and was shocked to see his perfection. He sat next to her, and she found herself talking to him despite her normal shyness. They became friends the next few days, and she later found herself thinking about him all the time, the universal side effect for the common sickness called "crushing". she then decided she needed to tell someone about it, so she went to her best friend Jordan for help, which was only fair because she had convinced Jordan to tell her about her crush on the popular guy in the 7th grade. Surprisingly, Jordan took the news well. " I could tell from the start that you liked him." Jordan said, " what? How?" Lucy said embarrassed. "You always talk to him, duh. You don't just do that with anyone" she explains. "But you aren't always talking to Ash-" Lucy begins to say, "SHUT UP, SHUT UP, SHUT UP!!!" Jordan interrupts, turning as red as a rose. Lucy just laughs at her, knowing that she always gets like this when someone talks about him. "Sorry sis, I didn't mean to".
